Just hours before Oklahoma State lost 98-97 in three overtimes to Iowa State last night, the Cowboys dismissed one of their best young players from the program.

Stevie Clark, a four-star recruit in the team’s 2013 class, was kicked off the team after his second arrest in 2014. According to a police report, Clark was “publicly urinating out of a vehicle window” and was released on bond.

From ESPN:

“We care about Stevie and wish nothing but the best for him,” Cowboys coach Travis Ford said in the statement. “We want him to find success in his future, [wherever] that may be.”

Clark was arrested at 12:46 a.m. Sunday and subsequently released after posting bond.

The weekend incident was Clark’s second arrest this year. He was arrested Jan. 1 on suspicion of possessing marijuana after a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation in Edmond, Okla., about an hour from the campus in Stillwater.

Prior to his arrest, Clark averaged 5.3 points and 2.7 assists in 16 minutes per game for the 16-6 Cowboys. There is no word on whether or not Clark will be reinstated by Ford at a later date.
