Sacramento Kings Ink Jordan Farmar to 1-Year Deal

The Sacramento Kings announced Wednesday that they have signed free agent guard Jordan Farmar.

The deal, reportedly, is for one year at the veteran’s minimum.

The Kings will have three experienced floor generals (Farmar, Darren Collison and newcomer Ty Lawson) heading into training camp.

Per the Sac Bee:

Lawson and Farmar likely will compete for the starting job, with Collison is expected to receive a lengthy league suspension after recently pleading guilty to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.

Farmar, 29, is a nine-year veteran who helped the Los Angeles Lakers win NBA championships in 2009 and 2010. His career averages are 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Farmar began the 2015-16 season playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, then joined the Memphis Grizzlies for the final 12 regular-season games and four postseason games. In Memphis, Farmar played for coach Dave Joerger, now the Kings’ coach.
