Under Armour Basketball 2012 Grassroots Schedule Announced

From our friends at Under Armour:

Under Armour Basketball’s mission is to help basketball players perform better through platforms designed to promote hard work, emphasize training and evaluate skills. In 2012, young basketball players participating in the Under Armour Grind Session events and the brand new Under Armour Championship Series of AAU tournaments will be empowered to understand what it takes to reach their full potential.

Under Armour Grind Sessions will test the physical ability and mental toughness of elite basketball players by combining basketball specific drills and the proprietary Under Armour Combines athletic development tests. This two-day event will feature a skill development curriculum developed and run by the game’s best trainers, instruction from renowned coaches and the UA Combine measurement system that will test and evaluate their physical ability. Grind Sessions will help teach kids how to improve their skills and understand what it takes to perform better on a consistent basis.

The new Under Armour Championship Series will bring together some of the country’s top teams and players, regardless of brand affiliations, to compete in high-level showcases throughout the country. There will be a total of four tournaments culminating with the Under Armour Summer Jam in Milwaukee on July 18 –22. Stay tuned for more information about the tournament structure.
