Kids today are so cocky.

Quit staring.

I could bore you with more vague assertions of KB24′s bi-polar disorder, or more baseless but no-less-certain predictions about how Greg Oden won’t be in this year’s Draft, or an in-depth, analytical breakdown of why, on the basis of one game, the LeBron-less Cavs are unquestionably the best team in the NBA.

But I won’t. Instead, I’ll give you this: The greatest… story… ever.

English people: Not worth a sh*t on the basketball court, but man, do they know funny.

Haha oh man that’s great. Too bad it took me like 8 minutes to find the penis. The balls are the best…all spread eagle.

English people: Not worth a sh*t on the basketball court, but man, do they know funny. ever heard of luol deng? and don’t give me that “he was born in Sudan” excuse, ‘cos by that reasoning Ben Gordon is English. and err… Ndudi Ebi… AND JOEL FREELAND!! watch out world…

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.1 at 8:48 am
Relax, James. It was a generalization. I know plenty of English people who aren’t funny.

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.1 at 8:48 am
…and you appear to be one of them.

  • James Posted: Feb.1 at 10:01 am
haha, nicely tagged on the end there. shame you couldnt think of it quicker eh?

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.1 at 10:25 am
Dude, I was sleeping. Time zones and such. Dummy.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Feb.1 at 10:59 am
Exhibit A: Neil Fingleton. In the end, ironically enough, he turned out to be about as useful as a gigantic lawn penis.

  • James Posted: Feb.1 at 11:04 am
I meant the fact that you added the 2nd post onto the end of the other. any word on what time the allstar reserves are announced?

  • James Posted: Feb.1 at 11:05 am

hahaha you got a good point there Russ, but don’t be forgetting John Amaechi!

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.1 at 11:59 am
I went to college with John Amaechi. You know what’s interesting about John?

  • James Posted: Feb.1 at 12:18 pm
I met him once at a game… But no I don’t know whats interesting about John?

  • Slobodan Chutzpah Posted: Feb.2 at 6:53 am
So what is interesting about John? The fact that he’s extremely well-spoken and intelligent, or that he is referred to as “the UK’s first and only NBA superstar” on ABC Foundation’s site – which seems to double as his personal site.

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.2 at 10:14 am
    Or something else, perhaps.

  • Oliver Posted: Feb.3 at 1:37 am
i actually checked back to see what was interesting about amaechi today…..no everton vids nxt week (there wasn’t any this week anyway) unless i find out-
and Amaechi did have one pretty good NBA season he averaged like 13 ppg and 6 boards back in 2000 or so-not to bad for a guy with the poshest accent i have ever heard
plus i heard hes a bit of a tool and looks down on ppl- is that wats interesting about amaechi?

  • Harlem_World Posted: Feb.3 at 5:05 am
I heard amechi doesn’t bat for the home team. Mr Jones, could this be it?

  • Slobodan Chutzpah Posted: Feb.5 at 6:28 am
I kind of thought Mr Jones wouldn’t sink that low – especially as I hear it’s not actually true despite the rumors. I still think it is utterly interesting that anyone – let alone himself – would have the gall to suggest he’s the UK’s first and only NBA superstar.

  • Chris Posted: Feb.5 at 8:59 am
I went to school next door to that place – that’s easily the best thing that they’ve ever done. I blame single sex education – too much damn spare time. Also, James’ comments are more than true – the UK can ball. Just taking us a little longer to come around the idea.

  • Ryan Jones Posted: Feb.5 at 9:06 am
He’s got a masters degree in psychology, is all I meant. Just wanted to see if anyone was listening.

  • Harlem_World Posted: Feb.5 at 5:20 pm
Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Loul Deng (born in Sudan, raised in England) and a prep kid I saw play this year who is ranked top 50 (can’t remember his name) all rep England. Oh, and the Trailblazers drafted a kid out of England this year end of the first round. Also saw a summer squad from England run Dominican Power down to the wire a couple summers ago.

  • Oliver Posted: Feb.7 at 6:48 pm
well i guess we know now wats so interesting

  • FLUXLAND Posted: Feb.8 at 10:30 am
“Time zones and such.” Ryan, you are too much. Why did I have to read that at work? I cannot even laugh out loud here. I wonder if you are that quick in person.

  • WOLF Posted: Feb.20 at 6:57 am
English people as you call are quite good at basketball except useless the person can’t play ball so don’t even try it by saying English can’t play jack because we an prove u wrong

  • bigmike407 Posted: Feb.27 at 5:16 pm
    Maybe John Amaechi did it.
