Contest, Kevin Durant and More

Win a free pair of signed Kevin Durant shoes.

Thanks in large part to Matt Lawyue, we were able to cover every step of Team USA’s World Championship run in Turkey. Two claps for him.

And thanks to Kevin Durant (and his teammates), USA was able to bring back gold. In honor of that, we’ve got two things for y’all to check out-slash-enter.

1. If you haven’t seen it already, we came out with a special issue this summer commemorating international ball, and getting you up to speed on this year’s Team USA. If you haven’t already copped it, after the show KD put on across the ocean, it’s worth picking it up now (you can pick up SLAM PRESENTS WORLD HOOPS 2010 via this link).

2. Before KD flew out, he graced us with a signed pair of Nike Hyperfuses. We’re offering ‘em up to one lucky SLAMonline reader. To enter for a chance to win, click here.

PS: SLAM #142 is coming at y’all real soon (Here’s a little first look at what’s inside it). Be sure to keep an eye out for the issue.

shut up i would of done the same thing, if you know you can play with the nba, then why stay in college and risk yourself of geting hurt.

@totalscrotal – yeah, kevin durant should have stayed in college, risked injuring himself and the money he would eventually make, maybe kill his reputation and/or have a bad season in college, maybe killing his draft positioning at some point. Yes it’s really ruined basketball, considering he is the 3rd best player in the league at age 21. and josh smith really sucks, averaging 15, 8, 4, 2blks and 1.6 stls, at 6’9″, on only an above average atlanta team.
