Less speculation, more details.

Starting with a report from the Orange County Register to a follow-up by the Sacramento Bee, an Anaheim move for the Kings has been speculated heavily this week. But a report from KFBK Radio in Sacramento has actual details on a proposed plan to bring the Kings to Anaheim. Here are the key facts from KFBK’s Rob McAllister, who wrote the report:
“A recent meeting between the two sides went as so: It seems that Henry Samueli (owner of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks) would give the Kings a 100-million dollar loan to move the team to Anaheim. The Kings could use that cash to pay off debt, as well as cover territorial rights fees that would be owed to the Lakers and Clippers for moving to the Los Angeles area. The Maloof’s would keep majority stake in the team, but should the Palms’ owners default, Samueli would likely get some control of the Kings. How much control is not clear.”
