  I hope their is another deal in the works that we don’t know about yet. How many 2 guards and small forwards can you have on one team. If we drafted a great big man to play with pierce and jefferson along with the other young talent we would have been a playoff team immediately.

  Look for Al to get buckets, with Ray Ray and PP on the outside you arent sending double teams at the beast, otherwise you are giving up 3 points instead of 2. Has Ray Ray ever had such a solid inside scorer to work with, he’s the best shooter in the league and he’s going to be murder!

  I think that Oden and Steve Franchise will improve the Blazer by at least 12 or more wins come 07′-08′ season… it won’t really matter because the Miami Heat will take it back next year.:D

  Hmm, Ray Ray to Boston? I kinda dig that. Pierce can concentrate on playing the three, Jefferson had a great second half of last season and even their PG’s are solid.(oh shiaat, they traded Delonte? scratch that) Wally World is no loss, whiny punk. Ray won’t be challenging for ‘chips with that team but there is room for development. As for Z-Bo in the big Apple. Isiah, why not trade for Fortson while you are at it. What l’il Nate with his posturing is not gangsta enough for ya, now you brought in the number 1 Gun in the league? Actually, it’s a fantastic trade for the knicks, since Channing did not improve much in his 2nd season. Z-Bo and Tip-in Lee should be a great power forward pairing for the next few seasons. That Zeke, crafty SOB.

  I’m lovin Shuttlesworth for the C’s. Not much of a better 1-2-3 punch than pierce, ray ray, big al. I still think al will get his 16-18 ppg, and lord knows on that team he’s gunna get some boards. And i might be the minority, but i think this team’s a great fit for Rajon, the pass-first pg. If they can maybe make one more move for a halfway decent center, they’re there…. Hey, him and Paul Pierce are sort of the same thing, with Paul being a better all-around player and Ray a better outside shooter, but it’s not like the Celtics needed any more young guys. They are in the Atlantic, and next year Ray-Pierce-Al Jefferson might be just as productive as Kidd-Carter and his $60 mill-Richard Jefferson. Toronto should be the favorite though, just because they seem to have some kind of plan/direction. The Sonics don’t need Ray anymore with a new franchise player in town, so why not? Did anyone have any idea that this trade was happening? The pre-draft rumor period is so worthless. The Bobcats traded Brandon Wright for J-Rich, which seems on the surface to be Michael Jordan once again taking a risk on bringing veterans to a team for that WIN NOW atmosphere. Uh… The Bobcats have an interesting mix. Interesting. Can a team have J-Rich and Gerald Wallace at the same time? Is that allowed. G-Shock (contest winner name!) is out of there. The Warriors ditched an expendable part to get someone that could be a great fit for them and maybe even give them some defense if Nellie can motivate. If he wants to do it that way.   celtics are going to the ecf. hawks to the second round. i couldnt be happier for paul pierce, after watching him all these years, first with walker, then nobody, now jesus has come to save the franchise. they have 5 solid years of paul, jesus, and al. also, gerald, kia rondo, tony, etc

  With He Got Game being one of my favorite movies ever and being from Boston I must say I am happy that “Jesus” is coming to Boston. However, he is not going to be the savior of Boston. I loved the trade, but I still think they are in need of either a PG (Chauncy Billups) or a Big Man.

  Can we please stop talking about about Ray’s bad ankles? he just has bone chips removed, I had that twice and still can dunk. He is 31, not 37… With the way the game is played now, mainly in the perimeter, and with his sweet long range shot, he can be effective until 35. Now… reportedly that Green kid they drafted is seriously good, but they would not have kept Pierce. I think it was a good trade, but still… I am semi-unconscious reading that Mannix article in SI… Ainge and Genious is like Kobe and Humility…
