New names to put on your radar.

I’m not gonna lie, before this summer, I didn’t pay much attention to the Class of 2012. I don’t know why, they just seemed so young. But after seeing some of the so-called top prospects play, it became obvious that despite just coming off their first year of high school, these cats have some serious talent. Don’t get caught sleeping on these youngsters with grown-man games:
| Rank | Name | Height | Position | School | Why? |
| 1 | Shabazz Muhammad | 6-4 | SG | Gorman (NV) | Explosive and versatile scorer has extremely mature game, body. |
| 2 | Perry Ellis | 6-8 | PF/SF | Wichita Heights (KS) | Remarkably polished all-around game for a youngster. |
| 3 | Justin Anderson | 6-5 | SF/SG | Montrose Christian (MD) | Strong and skilled wing is a big-time athlete, potential defensive stopper. |
| 4 | Dajuan Coleman | 6-9 | C/PF | Jamesville-Dewitt (NY) | Physical big man combines power, post moves and prowess on the boards. |
| 5 | Winston Sheppard | 6-7 | SF | Findlay (NV) | Swingman has ridiculous skills and excellent size for his position. |
| 6 | Wannah Bail | 6-8 | PF | Village (TX) | Skilled forward moves like a guard, plays above the rim. |
| 7 | Ricardo Ledo | 6-4 | SG | St. Andrew’s (RI) | Athletic slasher has smooth inside-outside scoring tools. |
| 8 | Andre Drummond | 6-10 | C | St. Thomas More (CT) | Still figuring things out, but tremendous inside presence due to terrific athleticism and length. |
| 9 | Amile Jefferson | 6-7 | PF/SF | Friends Central (PA) | Slender forward has surprising toughness to go with skills and athleticism. |
| 10 | Emmanuel Ochenje | 6-9 | C | Brehm (IL) | Developing post prospect doesn’t mind doing dirty work on the inside. |
