David Aldridge on trade deadline moves, Josh Childress on Greek foods, and Nick Collison on…The Bachelor?

And you thought the beat slowed down! We’re back with the SLAM Podcast, Show 2. After last week’s show with special guests David Stern and Stephon Marbury, I knew I was gonna have my hands full trying to top that guest line-up. But I made some calls and our producer, me, made some calls and we put together an entertaining show.

Batting lead-off is TNT and NBA.com’s David Aldridge, probably the most plugged-in NBA reporter out there, to talk about yesterday’s trade deadline passing and how he sees the rest of the season shaking out. Our second guest is Olympiakos swingman Josh Childress, who talks about his experience over in Athens and the things he misses most, and finally we have OKC Thunder forward and Linkstigator Nick Collison, who is going to be the official TV critic of the SLAM Podcast.

I’m still working on the audio quality, but considering the budget I’m working with ($0) I’m happy with it.     Was David Aldridge trying to sound ghetto cause he was talking to SLAM? Did he say “Skip” for Rafer to boost his street cred? Sorry, not happening. Yes, the game is shorter, Josh. Asked and answered. I like me some Fridays also. And Tel-Aviv? I love that place also. Syrup? You sound like Lil Wayne. Yotam, yotam Halpern? Nick, get a life. Your wife should too. I never heard a guy mention his wife so many times in ten minutes. Anyway, his sophomore year of college I recall an SI article where he said that he likes buying junk on the shopping networks. Now he has the money for that. Oh, and he was on Weeds? Nice. For real, big fan of this show!

    Great stuff, Lang. I told y’all last week: Lang is the new King of all Media. Lang, I enjoyed DA saying exactly the same thing I said on Dave Zirin’s show (you might want to link to that too for our radio fans) early Friday about the Bulls: they’re not underachieving, they’re just not good. Aldridge’s whole segment was great. As for Nick, tell his friends to start reading Slamonline!
