Cousins footwork seems sloppy and his attitude needs work. I am all for a big man that loves contact and lives in the paint. Has anyone heard any stories about his intensity in the weight room or desire to master the left. He seems to me like a cat that wants to get paid and chill.

  • chingy Posted: Jun.24 at 6:49 pm
Thanks Lang & Brandon for doing this. This will help me pass by the last couple hrs of work real fast!

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Jun.24 at 6:50 pm
Big cuz is certainly the enigma of the draft, will be interesting to see where he goes

  • Moose Posted: Jun.24 at 6:51 pm
    I can’t wait for this.

  • chingy Posted: Jun.24 at 6:56 pm
Devin Ebanks can be the late round steal of the draft

  • JL Posted: Jun.24 at 6:58 pm
cousins will learn his lesson and work hard. he doesn’t seem like someone who will give up. lose weight tho, I’m not sure he can do that. Just like how KD can’t gain weight.

  • tealish Posted: Jun.24 at 6:58 pm
Turner and Wall. There is no one else.

  • Andrew Posted: Jun.24 at 7:02 pm
i dont think Turner will be that great. I think its Wall, Cousins,Johnson,Favors and Stephenson we will talk about in 5 years

  • Ben Osborne Posted: Jun.24 at 7:08 pm
Very exciting, fellas…see you over there in 10 minutes!

  • Enigmatic Posted: Jun.24 at 7:15 pm
Here’s hoping Jennings shows up on time! LOL just playin’, dude is great.

  • Tzvi Twersky Posted: Jun.24 at 7:23 pm
A lot of dudes here asking Brandon if they remember meeting them. He plays it cool (cooler than I would).

  • jay Posted: Jun.24 at 7:28 pm

  • LD Posted: Jun.24 at 8:28 pm
Indiana drafted a white guy. That took me by suprise.

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 8:32 pm
@LD: WTF!? That was the Jazz, YO!

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 8:33 pm
    Although I understand the sarcasm

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Jun.24 at 8:33 pm
Dont understand why utah took hayward, matthews, miles, korver, ak47. Maybe theyre letting korver go

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 8:42 pm
Sam Presti is the best GM of the last decade. His trades this offseason have been GANSTA!

  • LD Posted: Jun.24 at 9:12 pm
whoops. i’m kinda half paying attention.

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 9:22 pm
Brandon Jennings says he models his game after Allen Iverson and Steve Nash…must get the shooting % from AI.

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 9:23 pm
Spurs GM is pretty good too.

  • Tzvi Twersky Posted: Jun.24 at 9:25 pm
Best liveblog in SLAMonline history, for sure.

  • ripslam Posted: Jun.24 at 9:27 pm
Avery Bradley was a steal for the Celtics.

  • chiqo Posted: Jun.24 at 9:28 pm
anderson is a good pick for the spurs cause they’ve sucked at the two for quite a while now. other than ginobili, of course.

  • niQ Posted: Jun.24 at 9:32 pm
not feeling the raptors pick.. damnn. they needed to trade down to get Hassan Whiteside!

  • niQ Posted: Jun.24 at 9:34 pm
OKC wins in the draft again. I like Ekpe Udoh playing in Golden State. I didnt’ think his stock would go so high. I Thought Raptors would’ve had a chance….

  • niQ Posted: Jun.24 at 9:38 pm
Do you think Minni will draft ALL SF’s this year? lol

  • Ben Osborne Posted: Jun.24 at 9:54 pm
Lang and Brandon may be done, but feel free to keep commenting down here all night…

  • DarthStern Posted: Jun.24 at 10:03 pm
I was hoping for Brandon to Trash Talk like he claimed he was going to.

  • Ben Osborne Posted: Jun.24 at 10:09 pm
The Wesley Johnson pic now on homepage was a Brandon selection. Can’t get enough of those pants.

  • chingy Posted: Jun.24 at 10:17 pm
Ed Davis replacing Chris Bosh who just had his locks cut off!

  • Franklyn Calle Posted: Jun.24 at 10:23 pm
    We want Devin Ebanks!

  • The Philosopher Posted: Jun.24 at 11:19 pm
At this point, I’m really pulling for Lance Stephenson.

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Jun.24 at 11:19 pm
wesley johnsons pants are now in the draft hall of fame with karl malones suit.

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Jun.24 at 11:20 pm
    bosh cut off his hair?

  • niQ Posted: Jun.25 at 12:53 am
So..I guess Sherron Collins didn’t get drafted?

  • Lang Whitaker Posted: Jun.25 at 1:13 am
Again, big thanks to Brandon for hanging with us tonight, and also to Ben and Tzvi and Ryne for providing on-the-fly tech support for us.

  • JoeMaMa Posted: Jun.25 at 3:29 am
Daniel Orton at #29 to the Magic; great. He’ll sit behind DHoward and Gortat and learn from Ewing for a couple of years before breaking out.
Hassan Whiteside at #33 gives the Kings two young bigs to work with this year; Cousins for offense, Whiteside for defense. They won’t make playoffs, but they’ve set up a big frontcourt for the future.
Devin Ebanks at #43!?! STEAL OF THE DRAFT!!
Gotta love Harangody at #52 to the Celtics. He’ll become a fan favourite in no time.
Willie Warren at #54 is another steal. He couldn’t manage a team, but he won’t be asked to. He’ll play behind EJ and torch a few nets.
Stanley Robinson to the Magic at #59 is another small steal. He’s big and athletic and will provide energy. This pick makes Orlando even bigger and stronger.
Oh, last thing: Rautins to the Knicks. I’m interested to see if he’ll make the team; I think he will. D’Antoni will make this kid money with all the 3s he’ll get in that offense.

  • Aaron Fischman Posted: Jun.25 at 3:33 am
This was really interesting. You two make a great duo!

  • Wayno Posted: Jun.25 at 4:25 am
VERY excited about Greg Monroe in Detroit. That’s about as good as you can do with a #7 pick.

  • Groves Posted: Jun.25 at 5:12 am
no mikhil Torrance, Alexey Shved, Sherron Collins or Samardo Samuels??

  • e Posted: Jun.25 at 6:37 am
indiana has playing time for lance stephenson right away bye bye a.j. price watch lance is the steal of the draft and how is sherron collins not drafted smh is anyone else tires of these irrelevant foreign players getting picked

  • e Posted: Jun.25 at 6:39 am
anyone else notice daniel orton averaged 3 rebounds and 3 points a game and goes in the first round SMH

  • Young C Posted: Jun.25 at 8:25 am
Wesley Johnson’s pants look like a pair of pajama pants.

  • jumpman3224 Posted: Jun.25 at 9:45 am
As someone who isn’t a T-Wolves fan, but would like to see them turn around the franchise and become a playoff team (with Flynn at point and not Rubio), I love grabbing Johnson. He will come in and start right away (Cousins may not have with Love and Jefferson in front of him) and should have good chemistry with Flynn. Also, he may not work out but if he does I fully expect Cousins and Evans to be a killer combo for years to come.

  • The Philosopher Posted: Jun.25 at 10:02 am
Off topic a little, but shout out @Jumpman3224.

  • jumpman3224 Posted: Jun.25 at 10:43 am
What up @Philosopher. As a fan of LBJ, how do you see all this wheeling and dealing affecting him in FA this summer? Enjoy your weekend bud.

  • Ben Osborne Posted: Jun.25 at 12:42 pm
    Good analysis from JoeMama

  • The Philosopher Posted: Jun.25 at 1:41 pm
@jumpman3224: I’m not big into predictions, but I honestly see LeBron James going to Chicago.
But, in the mean time, you enjoy your weekend as well, brethren!

  • The Philosopher Posted: Jun.25 at 1:43 pm
    Shout out @Allenp.

  • All Day Posted: Jun.25 at 5:04 pm
