I will be watching this on dvr in a few hours. Ill be doing my best to not let anyone spoil it for me.

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Dec.2 at 6:30 pm
This just in: Lebron is sitting out this game, listed with “flu-like symptoms”.

  • Enigmatic Posted: Dec.2 at 6:45 pm
I’m torn. I don’t get home until 10 PM Eastern time (6 PM local), so I have the DVR set too…but it’d be kinda dope to participate in this live blog…

  • Hursty Posted: Dec.2 at 6:49 pm
Just hoping there’s no violence today.
All it takes is one idiot to ruin a game thats highly strung. (Malice at the Palace). Different situation, I know. But it’s an unfortunate possibility.

  • Anton Posted: Dec.2 at 6:49 pm
Let’s see if that coward Ilgauskas is man enough to play.

  • Pharoah Posted: Dec.2 at 6:53 pm
    ^hahahha

  • albie1kenobi Posted: Dec.2 at 6:54 pm
    Anton never fails to disappoint

I’m curious to see how many people will do the chants from cavschants.com

  • tiquan Posted: Dec.2 at 7:42 pm
you cavs fans act like three year olds.. now bron’s back to be yo higglytown hero-lebron james & trey songz “bottoms up remix”

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 8:08 pm
why the hell is Kenny screaming his sentences?! He’s not from Cleveland is he?

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 8:08 pm
    HAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAA!
    Chuck with the chalk dare!!
    hilarious.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:16 pm
MIA should D.E.S.T.R.O.Y Cleveland, nothing less than a 30 points margin will b acceptable.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:19 pm
Good intro song by Cleveland though

  • J Posted: Dec.2 at 8:22 pm
the first timeout song in the game is from Flo-Rida? wth..

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:24 pm
    Go Wade!
This IS d 1st game of the saeson 4 MIA!
And LBJ hits his 1st 2!!!

  • J Posted: Dec.2 at 8:25 pm
Seriously I miss Z.. (holding my tears)

  • RobbieJay Posted: Dec.2 at 8:29 pm
The main sound of the night: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • J Posted: Dec.2 at 8:30 pm
BTW LeBron did it.. the chalk toss. After all this years this is the first time I could say that is a bada*s move.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:35 pm
1st 6 min of the game and Arroyo is the franchise player 4 MIA? (taking all the shots) LBJ seems paralysed, so does Bosh (not a surprise) and even Wade, givin all the shots 2 Arroyo…
    desappointing 1st 6 mins!

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:40 pm
What the f*** am I witnessing? Jamison overpowering Bosh? Cleveland leading, dominating?

  • Eboy Posted: Dec.2 at 8:41 pm
Best in the world taking over…..go f$ck yourselves haters.

  • Eboy Posted: Dec.2 at 8:42 pm
Cats must be on tape delay.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:45 pm
Those 2 free throws made by Lebron can change his momentum

  • hendrix media Posted: Dec.2 at 8:45 pm
Heat 21 Cavs 17. Good game. Great stuff by Cleveland fans. Sweet reverse layup by LeBron. Carlos Arroyo is throwin’ up enough bricks to build a doghouse in The Q for LeBron to sleep in. – kh

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:46 pm
6 consecutive points by LBJ! That’s what I’m talking about!

  • Jukai Posted: Dec.2 at 8:47 pm
Lebron with the line 10-4-5 and a block in 12 minutes…. Yep. Hi Cavaliers!!!

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 8:51 pm
Jomario moon sporting the pips! Haven’t seen many players sporting those kicks n long @ss time. Classics!

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 8:51 pm
DAMNED! James missed that Slam (on Cleveland) that’ve been WAOH! But there’s still time 4 that, MIA up by 11 with .49 left on the clock. Now I’m talking

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 8:52 pm
Cavs fans showin luv 4 big z. Nice 2 c that

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 8:53 pm
All that emotion leading up to this and all the crowd’s got are boos? really?
In Greece, crowds start riots just because their team is losing in the playoff finals (see Panathinaikos vs Olympiakos last season)!

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 9:02 pm
Now that LBJ is out (2 staRT THE 2ND 1/4), I realise I’m just washing a regular season game between 2 middle of the pack teams… B.O.R.I.N.G!

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 9:17 pm
Luv the choke footage of reggie n the garden. Hahaha!!! Where u @ spike!

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 9:18 pm
    LeBreak is on…

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 9:24 pm
During this 1st 1/2, LBJ spent more time talking with Cleveland bench than his own bench. What does that means?

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 9:26 pm
And MIA is up by 19 at the 1/2, let’s double that in the 2nd 1/2 and this thing will b over (at last!)

  • T-Money Posted: Dec.2 at 9:31 pm
The Fresh Prince: that means Cleveland is SOFT. How are you going to laugh with him while your fans are booing? You’re discrediting the whole thing. And I say that as a Bron fan. Boobie should wipe that grin off his mouth.

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 9:35 pm
And how r u gonna laugh w/him while he kickin ur @ss!? Just wrong

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 9:41 pm
Mo just brushed off lbj as if he were autograph seeking fan. Hilarious

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 9:42 pm
And Mo just refused 2 shake James’s hand. Finally some dignity.

  • IAMORANGE4EVER Posted: Dec.2 at 10:02 pm
No vaseline for the Cavs tonight, but they’re classy about it.

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 10:02 pm
the way Cavs are playing in the 3rd qtr, THEY deserve the boos…
LBJ gets his headband knocked off his head multiple times today on drives, but is KILLING the Cavs.
Also nice to have defensive terror version of Wade back.

  • IAMORANGE4EVER Posted: Dec.2 at 10:04 pm
JUST GET OVER IT CLEAVELAND! Tell ‘em Reggie!

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 10:08 pm
3 min left in the 3rd and the game looks already over, +30 points lead by MIA, Cleveland players seem lost in their own home court…

  • IAMORANGE4EVER Posted: Dec.2 at 10:08 pm
Well, it’s been real. Time to tune in Eagles vs. Texans on NFL Network.

  • LD Posted: Dec.2 at 10:13 pm
The Cleveland fans were louder in their loss to Boston earlier this week.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 10:20 pm
End of the 3/4, the Heat up by 30, James with 38, what else 2 say? Maybe Bryan Crawford or Wojnarowski should help me here…

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.2 at 10:25 pm
Seems like coach spo has VERY,VERY little faith n his bench. He has wade still on the court

  • Mvp23100 Posted: Dec.2 at 10:28 pm
Wasn’t the night the haters expected I guess but I’m sure they enjoyed the show

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 10:29 pm
Well, so much for LBJ not having killer instinct.
Doesn’t get much more “Bond Villain” than going into a hostile environment and laying down a smacking on your hometown crowd.
“YESSS, YEASSS, EMBRACE THE DARK SIDE, BRON”

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 10:29 pm
“GIVE IN TO YOUR ANGER, YEASSS”

  • Jukai Posted: Dec.2 at 10:50 pm
Cavs fans are choking back their boos faster than Dirk is choking on a game winner (Lang wouldn’t post that, sorry Dark)

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 10:55 pm
    ARRRRRGHHHH, Why Juk’s, WHYYYYY?
you couldn’t just keep Dirk outta this could ya.
    *sigh*

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.2 at 10:59 pm
I’m still trying to figure out what’s so “Special” about that LeBron guy.

  • Bryan Posted: Dec.2 at 11:01 pm
If anyone wondered why Lebron ditched the Cavs, I think you now have your answer.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 11:02 pm
After this game and the others I’ve watched from him b4, my thoughts on LBJ are : He definitely can b 1 of the best 2 ever have played this game, he has the “talent” and that fire in him, but he should get his $hit 2gether, man up, grow up… (I’ve still not figured out what all those talking with the Cavs bench were about… Maybe some mind games a la Phil Jackson 2 get m outta their game, if so, he’s succeeded amazingly, but if he was just looking 4 some empathy, he needs 2 forget about that)… If he doesn’t get that mental tuffness, he may b just another Barkley, Malone… It takes more than “talent” 2 win… Or he may just “continue his greatness”, whatever that means…

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.2 at 11:03 pm
i REALLY can’t wait for the articles on Slamonline tomorrow (and the comments wars that will accompany them)

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.2 at 11:04 pm
Oh it’s past 4a.m… What am I doing up?
    WITNESSING!

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.2 at 11:07 pm
Damn, fresh prince where are you at? Cambodia!

  • Ghost Posted: Dec.2 at 11:30 pm
    *Yawn*

  • Eboy Posted: Dec.2 at 11:31 pm
    Goodnight Haters!

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.2 at 11:40 pm
So the Heat won the championship tonight, right?

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.3 at 12:01 am
    ^Goodmorning Hater!

  • Royal Posted: Dec.3 at 12:01 am
Respect to Lebron for that game but c’mon it was the Cavs this game did not prove anything other than LeBron is not a Pu$$

  • flipnoyce Posted: Dec.3 at 12:03 am
Cleavland got served on national TV twice!!! What’s the big HYPE again????? There was nothing SPECIAL about the CAVS fan and their boring BOOOS, boring!!!!

  • james Posted: Dec.3 at 12:04 am
you guys keep sayin lebron is so good cuz he went into a hostile enviroment and whooped the other teams ass. well NEWSFLASH. lebron is playing against the cavs not their fans. and the cavs sucked. plus all of them except mo williams were tryna talk and joke around with Lebron. it was clear this game didnt mean as much to the cavs as it did to their fans.

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.3 at 12:11 am
i see operation downplay is already in full effect.

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.3 at 12:19 am
Darksaber, just wait till tommorow when General Patton aka ” Mr Bron is not special” commands the operation. You would think that it was DDay all over again.

  • Royal Posted: Dec.3 at 12:20 am
I’m not downplaying anything …amazing game by LBJ
(he could have scored 50) but he did against a team
that is an 8th seed at best.

  • Holiday Posted: Dec.3 at 12:20 am
Hey off subject but in all these articles chats discussions whatever I see nothing about the Jazz or Mavs and there 7 game win streaks and they play tomarrow! Im so sick of the Heat talk, when they win and beat a legit contender discuss it by all means! Talk about those who are relevent, look at the spurs there back at the top!

  • Royal Posted: Dec.3 at 12:22 am
Im not down playing anything…amazing game by LBJ
(he could have dropped 50) but he did it against a
team that is an 8th seed at best. But a Grown Man game
    by Lebron

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Dec.3 at 12:23 am
“LeBron is good at beating Cleveland, he’s just on a different team this time. #GAME5″

    From Twitter account Cavs_chants

  • Darksaber Posted: Dec.3 at 12:24 am
you should read through ‘em again, Holiday. there are enough fans of other teams on Slamonline, and i for one love to big up my Favs (Mavs).
Heat, Lakers and (all of a sudden) Bulls are just the lightning rods on this site atm, with the most discussions.

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 12:34 am
I cant downplay anything I didnt hype up in the first place. As its been said, an underachieving team beat another over matched sub .500 squad. If you really want to set the bar that low and this was actually worth celebrating, congratulations.

  • The D Train Posted: Dec.3 at 12:39 am
Goodbye haters. LBJ and Co show them with their performance. LBJ, Wade and Bosh really put it down on the team with zero All-Stars on their squad. Way to go, fellas! Looks like LBJ definitely made the right choice going with Wade, Bosh and Co over Mo, Andy and Co. Staying in Cleveland would have been the Em’ Same Song and Dance, number, right? At least now LBJ and his buds can knock off the lesser-lights of the league. They might still have trouble with the over-.500 teams at this point, but that’s sure to change with their ultimate talent level, not to mention the heart of a champion that Wade shows every night.

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Dec.3 at 12:41 am
“Looks like LBJ definitely made the right choice going with Wade, Bosh and Co over Mo, Andy and Co” … don’t you think last season’s Cavs team with LBJ would have done the same to a Heat team with Wade and Bosh???

  • The D Train Posted: Dec.3 at 12:43 am
@JM…absolutely. My sarcastic point, for sure.

  • The D Train Posted: Dec.3 at 12:50 am
For instance: Wade is getting thrown under the bus by the 4 Miami fans repeatedly. He’s the problem they say. His demeanor has been less than spectacular. So the “heart of a champion” comment is a shot at that.

  • The D Train Posted: Dec.3 at 12:56 am
    i guess i am gay

  • The D Train Posted: Dec.3 at 12:59 am
feels good to get it out

  • T-Money Posted: Dec.3 at 1:11 am
Myles: cute. As Dan LeBatard said, a Miami win is irrelevant but a Cleveland win would have “confirmed” a lot. Bill Simmons predicted a blow out for the Cavs. A lot of “experts” thought there was no way LBJ could have a good game in that environment. Chuck even said that there was no way he’d throw the powder. Maybe YOU didn’t say that but let’s not pretend that it wasn’t out there. This game has been a big deal since the schedule was announced and now we should just sweep it under the rug?

  • flash Posted: Dec.3 at 1:12 am
the fans should be more mad at the cavs players rather than LBJ, the players didn’t show up tonight when it mattered the most to their fans. the cavs demise begins now!

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 1:25 am
Whats cute? This is so stupid. “A Miami win is irrelevant.” Exactly. I have higher standards for this team and so should you.

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.3 at 1:29 am
It’s funny that people are quick to dowmplay the heat record but who the hell have the lakers played and beat so far? Everytime they have gone on the road and played a good team, they’ve gotten their a**es handed to them but since they are the “world champions” they get a free pass. Have the lakers even played a Top team yet?

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.3 at 1:30 am
Like reggie said, let’s c how miami does against the magic, lakers and heat. The heat did what they were suppose 2 do,which was 2 beat the cavs,an inferior team

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 1:32 am
So yes, you should sweep it under the rug, move on or whatever else you want to call it. The road to the chip doesnt go through Cleveland anymore and thats what theyre playing for. If beating a 7-10 team is their biggest win of the season so far then thats honestly not that impressive. What happened tonight was what any reasonable person expected to. I honestly dont care what Woj, Whitlock, Simmons or Confucius said.

  • Hammer Posted: Dec.3 at 1:32 am
I meant the celtics instead of heat. My bad

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 1:34 am
Yes, being a back to back defending champion earns them the benefit of the doubt. the Lakers havent played or beaten anyone of significance either. But theyve proven that they can. So please, stop deflecting, let that lame argument go and move on.

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.3 at 1:45 am
Who’s deflecting anything, I’m just stating facts. The lakers have played and beat no good teams yet people like you give them a pass because they are the champs. Well that was last year, people gave the ’07heat the benefit of the doubt after they won the chip the year before and look at what happened to them. Don’t count your chickens before the hatch and stop living in the past.

  • tRay Posted: Dec.3 at 1:52 am
Great win for the Heat I think it’s a good momentum started. Glad LeBron had a great game cuz the Cav fans were pissing me off just let it go lol.

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 1:53 am
If you’re bringing the Lakers into the conversation when they have absolutely nothing to do with the Heat’s struggles then youre deflecting, fact or not. Another fact is that the Heat are 1-7 against + .500 teams. Id be more concerned with correcting that than comparing them to a two time defending champion.

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Dec.3 at 1:55 am
“but since they are the “world champions” they get a free pass.”

EXACTLY. Even the Celtics get half a free pass. The Heat? Sorry, no soup for you until you win a title. Then we give you respect. Not other way around.

  • T-Money Posted: Dec.3 at 1:58 am
Their biggest win was by 26 vs ORL. This was the most satisfying one for Miami fans, it’s always fun to shut up the Wojos and Simmons of this world. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, kill joy.

  • Jer Boi Posted: Dec.3 at 2:03 am
And Myles wins that discussion handily

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 2:04 am
By this measure, Im sure there will be a parade when they beat another team with a winning record. Im no kill joy, just a realist. Again, I have higher standards for this team. I doubt theyre celebrating, but you guys go right ahead.

  • JTaylor21 Posted: Dec.3 at 2:12 am
Who the hell is celebrating this win ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Ziku Posted: Dec.3 at 2:20 am
Not a huge LBJ fan, but he sh*ted on the cavs today (Sydney Aus Friday). Celts fan through n through. I went to bed happy when Mia lost to them on the season opener, but gotta say I was kinda rootin for ‘Bron today. I can just imagine how much his unrepentant demeanor in that post game interview must have irked cavs fans.

  • Jackie Moon Posted: Dec.3 at 2:33 am
Shh, no one tell Jtaylor21 and eboy the “secret”: no matter what the Heat do this regular season, it won’t be good enough. :)

  • T-Money Posted: Dec.3 at 2:48 am
A realist about what? You’re acting like this is some kind of revelation, everybody knows Cleveland sucks. Nah, this was a satisfying “middle finders to all the haters”. And it’s VERY enjoyable for Heat fans right now. That’s it, that’s all. Nobody’s throwing parades or even saying that Miami is back on track. They have 82 to figure things out.

  • Myles Brown Posted: Dec.3 at 2:59 am
    Heat fans. Now thats cute.

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Dec.3 at 3:58 am
Bron and wade played great together. They look to be figuring how to work off each other. ……. Jtaylor, you owe me royalties for that… ……Myles, shouldnt you be busy making up fake disses at phil jackson?

  • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Dec.3 at 4:07 am
Totally unrelated but I was wondering WTF HAPPENED TO BONZI WELLS!?!? Bonzi and ron played great for the kings in 07. Ron said he would kill bonzi if he left. I believe bonzis agent fd up a nice deal houston offered. And bonzi had to end up accepting a bad deal from houston(maybe not?). He was in the doghouse, then just disappeared. Did he go to china? Or did ron actually kill him? (after going to houston himself). Who he play for?

  • Pharoah Posted: Dec.3 at 5:25 am
    Myles going in!

  • Eboy Posted: Dec.3 at 5:52 am
One moron doesn’t make a right.

  • CRUSTIFICATION IS NEAR ! Posted: Dec.3 at 6:55 am
    Haters chill 4 now.

  • Dacre Posted: Dec.3 at 7:39 am
The team that was expected to win 65+ games beat
the team that wasn’t expected to ‘reach’ the Nets
record of last season…. I don’t see where the
news is. The only notable point is that Cavs fans
didn’t do enough to back their home team.

  • Dacre Posted: Dec.3 at 7:41 am
    Go Suns?

  • Dacre Posted: Dec.3 at 7:42 am
The Cavs home announcers did LeBron a
huge favour by giving him the ‘Darth
Vader’ entry theme song… He has joined
    the DARK SIDE!

  • [...] you heard about this game? We had plenty of coverage of it, so you should know how it all went down by now, but let me wrap it up real quick: LeBron [...]

  • Spaceship Jay Posted: Dec.3 at 9:04 am
IT was a huge game for Lebron and Cleveland, regardless of what everyone on both sides were saying. It was also obvious the the Cavs were gonna get smacked; mostly because of the lack of acknowledgment of Wade’s existence, which 9 times out of 10 results in a loss for the other team. Hopefully the Heat can carry the confidence they had last night with them as they leave Cleveland. And the TNT intro was… interesting.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam Posted: Dec.3 at 11:53 am
Hey LeBron, it’s time 2 win a ring soon, I know that won’t calm the haters (what can?) But that will help us (who stay up all night screaming at the TV thank’s 2 u) ignore them more indifferently.
Cuz this night confirms 2 me that u really have what it takes.

  • kobehater Posted: Dec.3 at 4:54 pm
maybe those whiney cavs fans will shut the heck up now!!!!!!!!!! plus KOBE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Jake Appleman Posted: Dec.4 at 8:08 am
As someone who didn’t watch the game, and only started checking Twitter after it was a blowout, I gotta say I enjoyed reading some of the comments and some of Lang’s live blog after the fact.
