    After this game and the others I’ve watched from him b4, my thoughts on LBJ are : He definitely can b 1 of the best 2 ever have played this game, he has the “talent” and that fire in him, but he should get his $hit 2gether, man up, grow up… (I’ve still not figured out what all those talking with the Cavs bench were about… Maybe some mind games a la Phil Jackson 2 get m outta their game, if so, he’s succeeded amazingly, but if he was just looking 4 some empathy, he needs 2 forget about that)… If he doesn’t get that mental tuffness, he may b just another Barkley, Malone… It takes more than “talent” 2 win… Or he may just “continue his greatness”, whatever that means…

    you guys keep sayin lebron is so good cuz he went into a hostile enviroment and whooped the other teams ass. well NEWSFLASH. lebron is playing against the cavs not their fans. and the cavs sucked. plus all of them except mo williams were tryna talk and joke around with Lebron. it was clear this game didnt mean as much to the cavs as it did to their fans.

Im so sick of the Heat talk, when they win and beat a legit contender discuss it by all means! Talk about those who are relevent, look at the spurs there back at the top!

    you should read through ‘em again, Holiday. there are enough fans of other teams on Slamonline, and i for one love to big up my Favs (Mavs).
    Heat, Lakers and (all of a sudden) Bulls are just the lightning rods on this site atm, with the most discussions.

    I cant downplay anything I didnt hype up in the first place. As its been said, an underachieving team beat another over matched sub .500 squad. If you really want to set the bar that low and this was actually worth celebrating, congratulations.

    Goodbye haters. LBJ and Co show them with their performance. LBJ, Wade and Bosh really put it down on the team with zero All-Stars on their squad. Way to go, fellas! Looks like LBJ definitely made the right choice going with Wade, Bosh and Co over Mo, Andy and Co. Staying in Cleveland would have been the Em’ Same Song and Dance, number, right? At least now LBJ and his buds can knock off the lesser-lights of the league. They might still have trouble with the over-.500 teams at this point, but that’s sure to change with their ultimate talent level, not to mention the heart of a champion that Wade shows every night.

    For instance: Wade is getting thrown under the bus by the 4 Miami fans repeatedly. He’s the problem they say. His demeanor has been less than spectacular. So the “heart of a champion” comment is a shot at that.

    Myles: cute. As Dan LeBatard said, a Miami win is irrelevant but a Cleveland win would have “confirmed” a lot. Bill Simmons predicted a blow out for the Cavs. A lot of “experts” thought there was no way LBJ could have a good game in that environment. Chuck even said that there was no way he’d throw the powder. Maybe YOU didn’t say that but let’s not pretend that it wasn’t out there. This game has been a big deal since the schedule was announced and now we should just sweep it under the rug?

    It’s funny that people are quick to dowmplay the heat record but who the hell have the lakers played and beat so far? Everytime they have gone on the road and played a good team, they’ve gotten their a**es handed to them but since they are the “world champions” they get a free pass. Have the lakers even played a Top team yet?

    So yes, you should sweep it under the rug, move on or whatever else you want to call it. The road to the chip doesnt go through Cleveland anymore and thats what theyre playing for. If beating a 7-10 team is their biggest win of the season so far then thats honestly not that impressive. What happened tonight was what any reasonable person expected to. I honestly dont care what Woj, Whitlock, Simmons or Confucius said.

    Yes, being a back to back defending champion earns them the benefit of the doubt. the Lakers havent played or beaten anyone of significance either. But theyve proven that they can. So please, stop deflecting, let that lame argument go and move on.

    Who’s deflecting anything, I’m just stating facts. The lakers have played and beat no good teams yet people like you give them a pass because they are the champs. Well that was last year, people gave the ’07heat the benefit of the doubt after they won the chip the year before and look at what happened to them. Don’t count your chickens before the hatch and stop living in the past.

    If you’re bringing the Lakers into the conversation when they have absolutely nothing to do with the Heat’s struggles then youre deflecting, fact or not. Another fact is that the Heat are 1-7 against + .500 teams. Id be more concerned with correcting that than comparing them to a two time defending champion.

    Their biggest win was by 26 vs ORL. This was the most satisfying one for Miami fans, it’s always fun to shut up the Wojos and Simmons of this world. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, kill joy.

    Not a huge LBJ fan, but he sh*ted on the cavs today (Sydney Aus Friday).

    Celts fan through n through. I went to bed happy when Mia lost to them on the season opener, but gotta say I was kinda rootin for ‘Bron today.

    I can just imagine how much his unrepentant demeanor in that post game interview must have irked cavs fans.
