Prince Leaves Rutgers For Europe
Epiphanny Prince becomes the first woman to leave college to play pro ball in Europe.
Epiphanny Prince will not be returning to Rutgers for her senior year opting instead to play professional basketball in Europe. The 5-9 junior guard becomes the first American female to leave college early to become a professional basketball player overseas. She is mostly known for her HS scoring record of 113 points in one game set back in 2006 as a senior at Murry Bergtraum HS in New York City. She averaged 19.5 points per game this past season for Rutgers as a junior. Prince was ineligible to enter this year’s WNBA Draft because she had not turned 22 or graduated from college nor was she four years removed from high school.
