Sherron Collins Struggles with Weight, Again

For a dude with NBA hopes, the ability to gain 25 pounds since the end of March isn’t a good trait to have: “Last summer, Kansas point guard Sherron Collins checked in at 220 pounds in August before the Jayhawks’ exhibition tour of Canada and was publicly chastised by KU coach Bill Self for being out of shape. This summer, Collins is putting on weight at a more alarming pace — Self said he is around 229 now — but Self is reserving judgment with months to go before KU’s annual boot camp workouts.”

sadly, people are equating size with skills. cost many a gm his job. as long as he’s got game, KU will be fine. as far as his NBA future is concerned, he’ll have to ball out of control during the regular season or destroy one of the projected lottery pgs in the tournament to get that guaranteed money.

Did you not see ‘collins’ play last season?
If Kansas was more stacked… which it is now!! They would of gone a long way!
He is lethal, of the dribble, he can shoot the lights out, go hard to the rim, he is legit!
Look at ‘fields’ at Pitsburgh…. that guy is ill… but collins is faster and can shoot better!
