Tennessee Dismisses Tyler Smith

There are some things athletic programs can forgive. Weapons and drugs are not among them. Tyler Smith, UT’s best player and potential NBA mid-first rounder, was among four players arrested on New Years Day. The UT athletic department announced Smith will not return to the team. The decision on the other three players is still to come.

This might have top recruit Tobias Harris second guessing his commitment to play for the Vols next season.

From what I understand, Tobias is sticking with his decision. He recently told SNY that the incident does not have him second-guessing. As for the Vols, Wayne Chism now has a little more weight to shoulder.

They’ve got some depth though and I was definitely sold on Orlando Woolridge’s son, Renaldo “swiperboy” Woolridge from the get-go.

Damn its kinda ironic, I’ve heard of tyler smith and caught a tennessee game over the holidays; their was a close up of Smith and I noticed his “tear drop” tats by his eyes….which for those that don’t know are supposed to signify the number of people he’s killed…I was thinking to myself is this dude just trying to be thug or for real…guess he wasn’t playing….its sad that dudes just throw away opportunities to play pro ball…respect the game…..
