CJ Henry Set To Transfer

Xavier’s older brother will transfer out of Kansas a year after enrolling there. ESPN has more: “Guard C.J. Henry has transferred from Kansas to Southern Nazarene University in the NAIA. The Oklahoma City school announced Friday that Henry was one of three players transferring in from Division I schools. Henry was the New York Yankees’ first-round pick in the 2005 draft but returned to basketball after three years and signed with Memphis. He redshirted one season there before transferring to Kansas, where he averaged 3.1 points in limited playing time alongside brother Xavier Henry.”

Basically Kansas told him to get the hell out now that his brother was gone and the package deal was up?

Ya, pretty much. It’s not like he was on scholarship or anything, the Yankees are paying his way so he never had to sit out, and now especially with NAIA he will play next year.

He must have some game right? Most Walk-Ons don’t score 3ppg for a school like Kansas. He was good enough to hoop at Memphis too right?

he actually had some talent. undersized two, but he was decent. very nice range on the jumper.
