Iowa State Court Under 8 Feet of Water

Iowa State’s court was flooded back in 1993 as well while (current head coach) Fred Hoiberg was playing for the Cylones. From the Des Moines Register: “Hilton Coliseum was surrounded by floodwaters this morning, according to Des Moines Register photographer Chris Gannon, who described it as “an island.” The coliseum is home to the Iowa State Cyclones’ basketball teams. The Skunk River was forecast to reach at 27-foot crest at the U.S. Highway 30 river gauge by 1 p.m. today. The 1993 level was 25.5 feet.
