Kansas Suspends Tyshawn Taylor Indefinitely

Jayhawks head coach Bill Self announced earlier today during a teleconference that starting point guard Tyshawn Taylor has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Self did not give any details as to what exactly Taylor did that landed him the suspension. The Hoboken (NJ) native has been averaging 8.8 points and 4.7 assists per game this season. He will be allowed to practice with the team in the meantime.

Ain’t this the same kid that was suspended for fighting with some KU football player or something like that?
    Knucklehead.

If I hear the phrase “suspended indefinitely for violating undisclosed team rules” one more time….they always show up on the court the next game over. Anyways I’d say take a look at the movie “The Street Stops Here”, Tyshawn is a good kid, who grew up in a pretty bad environment…not excusing his ‘undisclosed’ actions, just saying its pretty dismissive to just tag him a knucklehead. Anyways, with this Big 12 tourney approaching and Josh Selby still getting healthy out there I don’t see Self going without Tyshawn for very long at all

Black Rick Kamla, being from a bad neighborhood shouldn’t excuse anyone from doing stupid stuff once they leave said neighborhood. I know you said “not excusing him”.. But that’s exactly what you’re doing.
Derrick Rose grew up somewhere far, far worse than where Taylor grew up. The Englewood neighborhood of Chicago ain’t but 3 square miles but yet they had over 30 murders in 2010, which was actually a decrease from years prior.
But worst dude has ever done was possibly cheat on his SAT, and throw up the pitchforks in a college party pic.
Kevin Durant and Rudy Gay also grew up in pretty tough hoods but you never really hear of them doing anything bad either.

To be fair, I never been to Jersey City.
And my complexion is too light for me to risk my life going to Englewood. I’d rather chill in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago.
Anyways, hopefully this kid can smarten up. How many college kids got kicked off athletic teams for dumb mistakes?
Remember that kid from Tennessee? Tyler Smith? Wonder what ever happened to him.
