Video: Tim Floyd Escorted Off by Police After Elejection

UTEP head coach Tim Floyd’s big toe caused him a technical foul and eventually to be ejected and escorted off the court by the police last night after getting in an official’s face against East Carolina in a 83-76 loss. Moments later, assistant coach Phil Johnson, who was supposed to take over for Floyd, picked up two technical fouls and joined Floyd in the locker room. “I think it was a coaching box violation,” Floyd told the El Paso Times. “I had my big toe out of the box, received a warning, turned my back and walked to the bench and got a technical. I’d never seen him (the official who issued all the technicals) before and I don’t know who he is. I’ve always earned my technicals and I didn’t feel like I earned it.”
