Arizona Suspends Sidiki Johnson Indefinitely

Only a month into his college career and Arizona freshman forward Sidiki Johnson finds himself  starting off on the wrong foot. In a press release by the Wildcats program on Monday night, head coach Sean Miller announced the Bronx, NY native has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. From the Arizona Daily Star: “Arizona freshman forward Sidiki Johnson has been suspended indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules, and his long-term future may also be in doubt. Johnson, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound, freshman forward from the Bronx, N.Y., has made three appearances for the Wildcats this season, averaging 0.3 points and 0.7 rebounds. Johnson was held out of UA’s game against Mississippi State on Nov. 18, though it was not termed as a suspension. UA said the length of suspension has yet to be determined and no comment was offered on the school’s news release. The announcement came after Miller’s weekly scheduled news conference. When asked at the news conference how much Johnson or Angelo Chol might play Wednesday at San Diego State, Miller said Chol would probably get an opportunity but did not mention Johnson. Johnson played for four high schools, transferring in the middle of last season from Oak Hill Academy to Wadleigh High School in Harlem. Attempts to reach Johnson’s mentor, Bernard Bowen, were not successful.”

Well he lives in Tucson. So he wasn’t actually doing anything. Because there is nothing to do there.

Players should really consider everything when going to a school. But truthfully i thought Arizona was a party school

WHO HAS BEEN IMPERSONATING ME? Illuminati!!!!!!!

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

That’s Arizona State. — Well all schools have plenty of parties. But ASU basically have students who regularly get drunk in the library, people are hung-over everywhere, one of the dorms is called the “seven floors of whores” lol. ASU is the party school.

He had to be home in NY when this happened right?

    @nbk thats UofA!!! Not ASU!!!

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

It’s ASU. I went there. And it’s the “15 floors of whores” my bad.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

UofA is in Tucson, the asshole of earth. Kids from Tucson come down to Tempe (ASU) to party. — UofA is Arizona’s sports school, and it’s where the people that are serious about graduating on time go.

The 15 floors of whores is an awesome name.
    That is just awesome.

  • azhood

anyone who says U of A isnt a party school is a fool or has never been there. ” its where kids go to graduate early” i laughed at that. There is nothing to do in tucson but party, same as NAU.

In 2004, a case study showed that an estimated 40% of ASU students have or had an STD.

I didn’t go to a single party or get bothered to much by anyone in the 2 years I went there. If y’all aren’t trying to get into any of that then you don’t got much to worry about. The school is huge, it’s not like you’ll
Be thrust into may uncomfortable situations. Unless she is the jealous type, or you give in to temptation. Cuz that’s kinda everywhere. I’m unscathed though, did nothin wrong, been in a relationship 8 years. You will be fine.

@nbk Sidiki Johnson goes to UofA. Sean Miller is the coach at UofA. This article is not about ASU

I’ve been with my girl since I was 16. That’s a little young to be running through the 15 floors.

Most of this comment thread has been talking about ASU, which has absolutely nothing to do with the story.

Anyway, when you go to that many high schools, it’s probably grades that affect you the most in college. The same ish Jahii Carson is in at Arizona State (there, now we relate this story to ASU AND basketball). In two years, I expect the same from a kid named Chris Thomas, he’s looking like the champ right now (junior in high school, been to 4 schools already).

  • arias

So does anyone actually have any info as to WHY THIS KID GOT SUSPENDED in the first place?

I wade through 25 comments to try to find ONE person clued in as to why and all I end up learning is garbage about ASU.

  • oskeebowwow
