Video: Jeremy Lamb Dunks All Over Columbia Defender

And the NCAA season has its first poster.

If you’ve yet to, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with UConn sophomore Jeremy Lamb, and you’ll want to do it quickly. The Connecticut swingman made a hell of a splash tonight, completing this insane dunk that led to his name both trending on Twitter and buzzing amongst NCAA hoops fans.

    @Ryan I can’t wait for the day when people appreciate the game right in front of them. I’d much rather a poster dunk than a flagrant foul. Just because it was allowed back in the day hardly makes it fair, skill over physicality any day.

    @Ryan, check out the Kermit Washington story. One of the reasons that style of play is gone. Aint gonna lie Im ol school so I miss it but @Jeremy is right, it’s time to move on.

    And not for nuthin but defender didnt need to put lamb on his ass he just needed to move his feet. Defense sucks nowadays. Too many kids play defense not to stop offensive player, but to NOT get embarrassed by offensive player. Didnt work for this kid. He just had lambnuts for dinner.

    michael beasley light this kid. college ball is boring the talent level is low and no teams are utilizing big men. Which is sad. It’s just layups and threepointers. OK D and a lot of guys still learning how to play and feel the game. I’m not gonna say it bores me but it isn’t exciting or enticing either.

    Funk dunk! I’m truly old school and no one back in the day would have taken him down on that play. Don’t make it seem like every trip to the hoop ended in a hack or take down. A move like that was quick and lethal..no time to whack at him. lol. I also thought it should have been a no call, just b/c.

    But fellas this isn’t skill over physicality it’s a weak sauce defense. As was pointed out kids are trying not to get embarrassed and it’s sad. It makes Lambs’ dunk look like a pro wrestling move instead of a legitimately spectacular play.
