Kentucky Lands Nerlens Noel

The mystery is over. The debate over where the top center in the class of 2012 would end up playing college ball culminated Wednesday night live on ESPNU when Nerlens Noel committed to Kentucky over Georgetown and Syracuse. The 6-10 big man out of the Tilton School in New Hampshire reclassified from the 2013 class to senior status back in February. The country’s best shot blocker  joins a massively-talented class at Lexington that includes highly touted recruits Alex Poythress, Archie Goodwin, and Willie Cauley. Noel has been writing for SLAM for the past few weeks as a diarist–speaking on his college recruitment and preparation for this weekend’s Jordan Brand Classic. Big Blue Nation might be in for a repeat.
