Two of the biggest names in the class of 2009 had a very good weekend. Georgia Tech-commit Derrick Favors was feeling ill on Saturday morning but he still decided to suit up against Spalding that same afternoon. By the way he performed it may have seemed as if he was feeling just fine. The 6-9 forward finished with 32 points, 19 rebounds, 6 blocks, 4 steals and 2 assists to lead South Atlanta HS to an 88-59 win.

DeMarcus Cousins, one of the top seniors in the nation from Mobile, Alabama, led his LeFlore team in back to back wins. On Friday night, Cousins dropped 28 points against Duncanville followed by a 26 points and 15 rebounds performance against Union HS of New Jersey in a 88-57 win. Cousins is still undecided on which college he plans to attend next year but is reported that he is considering Memphis, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State and Kansas State.
