Quinn Cook Narrows List Of Schools

If you follow him on Twitter, you’d know Quinn Cook is a supporter of SLAM. And if you follow prep basketball, you’d know Quinn is hella player. Anyway, Adam Zagoria has more on Quinn’s remaining colleges (Note the absence of Kentucky): “Quinn Cook is down to seven schools and plans to determine his official visits soon. ’I got seven schools, Duke, St. John’s, Rutgers, Georgetown, UCLA, Arizona and North Carolina,’Cook said by phone from the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game in Venice Beach, Calif. Cook, who will play at Oak Hill (Va.) Academy, is the No. 5 point guard in the Class of 2011. Cook said he hasn’t figured out where he’ll take his official visits yet.”

FINALLY-one player who doesn’t have Kentucky on the list. It seems like everyone top 50 wants to go there. Cal doesn’t get you to the league, people. Wall, Evans, and Rose probably could’ve came out of high school and been ROY.

Funny thing is the guard spots at Duke is probably even more crowded than at Kentucky. Nolan Smith, Seth Curry, Kyrie Irving…potentially Austin Rivers and a few others, it would be awfully hard to expect a lot of playing time in that mix………Why aren’t the Terps on his list???
