SLAM Fresh 75 – 2011

Final after-prom rankings.

by Rodger Bohn / @rodgerbohn

The Class of 2011 labeled itself as one of the more unique classes in recent memory because there wasn’t “that dude” in the class. Austin Rivers is the best player RIGHT NOW and proved it time and time again. SLAM diarist Quincy Miller is an inside/outside dynamo who missed nearly his entire senior season and all of the all-star games with a torn ACL. Kentucky recruit Anthony Davis burst on to the scene last year at Spiece and still has guard skills after growing to 6-10.

We opted to go with Austin Rivers after he had a ridiculous senior campaign at Winter Park. There aren’t any guys who are no brainers to bounce after their debut season and with cats like Perry Jones, Harrison Barnes and Jared Sullinger all opting for calculus instead of cash, college hoops is going to be a thing of beauty come November.

Tony Wroten and Lebryan Nash could be the best 2 players in this class 3 years from now.

  • http://WWW.SLAMONLINE.COM Benn0

personally i think gilchrist should be higher than that, but overall a great list, and austin deserves no.1

  • http://slamonline.com yallllalalal

Worst list I’ve ever seen. Bring back Aggey sam.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

NBA Draft 2012 & 2013 is going to be stacked.

GotHandles? hit the nail right on the head. People are sleeping on Tony Wroten Jr. He is, in my opinion, the best player in this class. UW is going to be dirty next year.

  • SikhWitIt

I can’t wait to see Tony Wroten embarrass Austin Rivers next year in the Garden.

I’m high on Tony myself too, fellas. In fact, I think we’ve got him higher than anyone out there. IF he fully recovers from the knee injury, it’s a wrap and you’re looking at a potential one and done guy for sure.
