Five-Star Recruit Tyler Ennis to Announce College Decision Thursday

6-3 point guard Tyler Ennis, who is a rising senior at St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ), is expected to make his college announcement Thursday night. Ennis’ AAU team, CIA Bounce, will feature a “major announcement” Thursday at 7 p.m. EST on its website, and many believe that announcement is Ennis’ commitment. More details, via ZagsBlog.com: “The 6-foot-3 point guard from St. Benedict’s Prep previously said he would announce in August. ‘[Tyler] wants to do it before he goes back to school,’ his father, CIA Bounce coach Tony McIntyre, told SNY.tv in July. Ennis is considering Syracuse, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis and UCLA, among others, with Syracuse long having been the frontrunner.”

Those are all good schools, obviously, but as a PG, why would you go to one of them? Memphis is going to allow you to play as a PG, and maybe Illinois too (but they suck beyond all suckage). But UCLA is coached by a joke, Syracuse has no use for a PG (as far as preparing you for the NBA is concerned, you just gonna walk the ball up and pass it around), and Louisville is good b/c you obviously would learn a crap-ton about basketball (if you stayed around long enough), but Pitino and player-development have never gone together.

Memphis should be your choice. Great school, great coach, great team, great atmosphere!

If im a highly rated PG i’d go to Kentucky and play for Calipari. His track record with PG’s is just too good to ignore. Rose, Wall, Knight, Evans, and Teague all of them except Teague got drafted really high

Rodger Bohn believes that Syracuse cannot develop a point guard with NBA skills….What a joke…Without looking back at the players from Syracuse who have made it to the NBA at that position over Jim Boehein’s long career, why not look at this year’s NBA draft? Waiters ! A player who cane to Syracuse with a “me” attitude and under Boeheim’s tutelage became as a sophomore a team player and a lottery pick…..The reason Boeheim is a Hall of Famer is his incredible winning record in arguably the best conference in basketball and a long, long history of wins often without top fifty recruits….Have a chance to play for a coach who can turn lead into gold and turn gold into one and done and turn it down? Easy decision…Play in the Carrier Dome before 40,000 plus relatively close to home? A no-brainer!

to the guy who said that at syracuse he will slowly bring the ball up the court and pass it around, um have you ever watched syracuse play? seriouslly, it is a running offense built on getting the ball up the court and in the basket early in the offense, its not wisconsin dude.
