2013 Elite 24 Final Rosters Announced (UPDATED)

Under Armour Basketball today announced the final team rosters and coaches for the 2013 Under Armour® Elite 24 event at the Tobacco Warehouse in DUMBO, Brooklyn (Brooklyn Bridge Park, Water Street at New Dock Street). The rosters include six of the top 10 players in the ESPN 100, and the top two ranked players in the ESPN 60.

The 2013 Under Armour Elite 24 will be held at a newly constructed custom outdoor basketball court at the Tobacco Warehouse on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24. The game airs live on ESPNU at 7 p.m. ET Saturday, Aug. 24, while the Slam Dunk Contest and Skills Competition will air Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.

Tyus Jones, ranked No. 3 in the ESPNU 100, leads the class of 2014 players. Emmanuel Mudiay, ranked No. 5 in the ESPN 100 and Chris McCullough ranked No. 7 and committed to play at Syracuse University next year are also included in this year’s game. Ivan Rabb, ranked No. 1 in the ESPN 60, and Malik Newman, ranked No. 2 in the ESPN 60 lead the class of 2015. Thon Maker, ranked No. 2 in the ESPN 25 will represent the class of 2016.

Including McCullough, eight Under Armour Elite 24 players have committed to colleges – Joel Berry, Justin Jackson, and Theo Pinson to North Carolina, Chris Chiozza to Florida, D’Angelo Russell to Ohio State and Romelo Trimble and Dion Wiley have both committed to Maryland.

First-time partners EA SPORTS NBA LIVE 14 and CHAMPS Sports will help to elevate fan and audience engagement throughout this year’s event with social media interaction, giveaways and more.

Adding to the next-generation theme of the Under Armour Elite 24 event, EA SPORTS will launch NBA LIVE 14, the latest edition of the historic video game franchise, later this fall on the next-generation of video game consoles, Xbox One® and PlayStation® 4.

Three-time NBA champion and Manhattan native Mario Elie will coach Team Coney Island. Acclaimed director/actor and fellow Manhattan native Michael Rapaport will join Elie on the bench as assistant coach. NYC playground legend and former NBA player Pearl Washington will coach Team Bed-Stuy with former NBA player and Brooklyn playground legend Lloyd Daniels serving as the team’s assistant.
