Poole heads to Lexington
Kentucky lands Florida swingman

As we mentioned earlier today, 6-5 G/F Stacey Poole of The Providence School in Florida was set to make his decision today and the fans in Lexington were not disappointed as the multi-skilled explosive swingman from Florida is taking his game to Kentucky to play for Head Coach John Calipari. This is a big time grab on the recruiting trail for the Wildcats as Poole is the #40 ranked 2010 prospect in the country according to the NY2LASports.com 2010 National Player Rankings released this past June.
Poole is a lethal mix of length, athleticism, and versatility and has the potential to explode at the next level. Already equipped with an excellent pedigree, Poole attacks the rim well, has a solid yet versatile mid range skill package, and has continued to show an improved ability on the perimeter over the past 12 months. Poole can score in transition, attack in half court sets, and seems to be an ideal fit for the SEC style of play and the Wildcats.
Poole really saw his stock soar in recent months after a number of quality efforts during the spring/summer travel circuit but really seems to be scratching the surface on his game right now. With a continued progression year in and year out, Poole looks primed to have his best years in front of him, which should bode well for the Wildcat faithful as Poole has the potential be a superb talent at the next level and play a major role in the revitalization of Kentucky basketball in the coming years.
Poole played with the Jacksonville Elite Bulls grassroots travel program this past spring/summer.
