Elite 24 Roster Revealed (First 12)
The first 12 players from the 5th annual Elite 24 were revealed today.

ESPN RISE revealed today the first 12 players selected to participate in the fifth annual Boost Mobile Elite 24 event, the nation’s premier elite high school boys’ basketball event for underclassmen. Featuring 24 of the top high school basketball players from across the nation, the Boost Mobile Elite 24 participants are selected by high school basketball experts from ESPN RISE, ESPN College Basketball Recruiting and other leading talent evaluators. Players are selected based on their performance at AAU tournaments and national summer camps. The 2010 Boost Mobile Elite 24 will be hosted at Los Angeles’ Venice Beach Friday and Saturday, August 27 and 28.
ESPNU 100’s No. 2 ranked class of 2011 player, Austin Rivers, an alum of the event, leads the first 12 players selected for the 2010 Boost Mobile Elite 24. Rivers is joined by first time event participants Quincy Miller-Scott, No. 4, ESPNU 100 and James McAdoo, No. 5, ESPNU 100. Class of 2011’s Rakeem Christmas, No. 8, ESPNU 100 and class of 2012’s DeJuan Coleman, No. 2, ESPNU Super 60, are also Boost Mobile Elite 24 alum—selected for the second consecutive year. Three Boost Mobile Elite 24 players selected to date have committed to colleges – James McAdoo to North Carolina, Bradley Beal to Florida and Myck Kabongo to Texas.
The 2010 Boost Mobile Elite 24 event will consist of a dunk competition titled the Under Armour Slam Dunk Contest, on Friday, August 27, 8 p.m. EDT and the game on Saturday, August 28, 7:30 p.m. EDT; the two will be televised live on ESPNU.
Boost Mobile has returned to the 2010 event as its title sponsor; Boost Mobile has been the title sponsor since the event-launch in 2006. Boost is joined by the event’s official sponsors Under Armour, the official apparel sponsor, providing state-of-the-art uniforms and performance training gear; Wilson, the official ball sponsor and Gatorade the official hydration sponsor. Under Armour has also signed on as the title sponsor for the dunk contest.24 2
