Air Yeezy Drops Saturday

The Air Yeezy. Even in Canada!

After a solid year’s buildup, Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy is hitting stores in a limited capacity on Saturday April 4. All three House of Hoops locations (New York, Chicago and Los Angeles) plus the Foot Locker and Foot Action on 34th ave. in NYC will be stocked with the much maligned and hyped sneak.airyeezy

Normally when a limited-release sneaker drops, you get your HOH releases and you call it a day. Living ridiculously far from any of these stores, a shoe like the Air Yeezy wouldn’t remotely be an option for myself or other sneakerheads north of the U.S. border.

That all changes tomorrow, my Canadian friends.

The Air Yeezy will be available at Livestock locations in Toronto and Vancouver (West 4th), as well as at Foosh in my hometown of Edmonton and at NORML in Ottawa.

Regardless of which side of the border you’re on, the campouts are already in effect for the shoe. I spoke with someone at Livestock in Toronto at 1 p.m. ET and they said that they’ve got more people outside waiting for the shoes than they have shoes in the store. Foosh and NORML have extremely limited quantities, so a lot of campers/early risers will be disappointed tomorrow morning. I’d say the same could be said for a lot of U.S. campers as well.

    kinda frizesh. don’t know how i feel about the tongue of the shoe touching my knees, but it gets chilly in the winter in NYC so they could be useful.

    Not in this recession. Don’t buy the hype. But great that Canada is getting them, so Chris here and others can profit from reselling to the fans in the US whom have money to throw around on these dogs and won’t get them even after camping out in the cold.

    These shoes are all right, but Kanye West is turrrible. What kind of MALE RAPPER takes himself seriously when he drops an album titled, “808′s and Hearbreaks”, wears skinny jeans and tight clothes, buys Gucci and Prada hand bags, wears those stupid wannabe modernized white-colored Star-Trek shades (he ain’t Kool Moe Dee!), copies Andre 3000 while looking really feminine, singing even though he’s turrible, singing emo songs when he’s a RAPPER, and singing with those annoying voice synths that T-Pain uses to hide the fact that he can’t sing?
    His first 2 albums were near-classics to classics. Now he’s somewhat of a joke to REAL hip hop heads. He’s a very talented lyricist and rapper, but its a shame he’s destroying the culture with these gimmicks.

    Those are atrocious…I wouldn’t trade my torn and tattered Jordan 3′s for those.I wouldn’t even trade my Starbury’s for them.Nike needs to start putting some color back in their shoes,I just went to foot locker and everything is black,gray,white and if you’re lucky red.

    I wore my Yeezy’s today and they’re the $hit. Premium leather, lots of cush, it’s beasty. Anyone that hates this shoe either has weak shoe game or couldn’t get a pair. RT1′s, Starbury’s, tattered IIIs better than Yeezy’s???
