Bid for the big man’s Finals kicks at NBA.com.
The NBA Playoffs can be a grind for anyone. Even Dwight Howard. With 108 games under his belt this season, including 19 post-season bouts, Superman went to adidas and asked them for a lighter shoe to carry him into the fourth quarter of games.
The stripes answered back with the TS Commander LT, which Dwight will unveil for Game 1 of the Finals tonight against the Lakers. An exclusive player edition sneaker, it’s six ounces lighter than what Dwight wore during the regular season. The fat stripes that Dwight unveiled in the second round of the playoffs against Boston make their way back into this shoe, with adidas saying that the stripes offer enhanced mid-foot support and stability.
For fans interested in grabbing a piece of history from these Finals, D12 will sign the TS Commander LT’s he wears after each game and will auction them off through NBA.com. Bidding will start at $1012.00 and will run through the Finals, officially closing on June 20. Howard will donate the funds raised to a charity he’ll name at the conclusion of the Finals.
