Kobe’s Finals Sneakers

40-8-8 in custom kicks.

by Chris O’Leary

It’s not just the Lakers and the Magic battling it out in the Finals. Nike and adidas are also going toe-to-toe this month. Yesterday we showed you Dwight Howard’s adidas. Today, from Nike, we’ve got the details on what Kobe had on his feet in Game 1 in a special edition of the Zoom Kobe IV.

This release from Nike breaks things down:

…With a new low cut design weighing in at a mere 11.6 ounces, the Zoom Kobe IV has been featured in multiple colorways throughout the season.  This special Finals colorway concludes the run. The Zoom Kobe IV has been worn by Kobe and select NBA players including Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza, Shannon Brown and Josh Powell.  The special Finals edition of the Zoom Kobe IV includes inspiration from the 2008-09 season including:

GOLD ACCENTS representing the quest for the NBA Championship trophy.

CONCORD is used to provide energy to a colorway that traditionally features varsity purple.

GRAPHICS on the collar and vamp feature milestones and amazing stats that helped Kobe reach the Finals.

Any chance of anybody getting there hands on a pair or are these player exclusive?

  • B-real

Fugly. These shoes were made in a sweatshop just for yall to look “fresh”. Peace.

  • don

i don’t like either team in the finals, but this are good shuzeseseseses.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Justin Walsh

yes, B. Long, Kob is signing a pair for Pietrus after last night.

  • miqlo

    i guess b-real is a lebron fan
oh and btw these are sooo hot

  • big bad boss

they always tell the weight of the shoe, but hey if your shoe is lighter than a can of coke, why not?!

  • B-real

No, I never liked Lebron. Dude can’t even comprehend what “sportsmanship” is. I guess there’s just hot air in between those ears of his. Kobe is mature enough that he’ll accept defeat and talk to the media.

Still think the shoes are fugly though. The majority of people automatically see a Swoosh or Jumpman logo and say “ohhhh Fire”, “ohhhh Fresh”, “ohhh I’m def coppin those” no matter how atrocious the shoe looks.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

LOL co-sign B-real. Not about LeBron though… He’s the man. I also think the Kobes look decent. Kobe is the man, too.
Anyways, what you said about Nike is correct. So many people see some wack kicks that have the logo and are like “Ooooohhhh Tight!”. Or they see a pair of nice Adidas kicks and they’re like, “Nah, its not Nike. Its wack.” That sh!t is played out. Nike is overrated, although it definitely has some AWESOME shoes. The same goes for new Air Jordan sneaks (not the originals/retros).
    Ya’ll get my point.

  • jay

nice shoes….i like em..i dont buy hype..what do the roads look like..they better be hot!!!

  • K

    Haha I completely agree B-Real.

“GRAPHICS on the collar and vamp feature milestones and amazing stats that helped Kobe reach the Finals.” Conceited bastard. And B-Real has it perfectly. PERFECT.

NOT about the LeBron part, though. Not at ALL.

NOT about the LeBron part, though. He’s my dude.

    SLAMOnline is messing with me.

  • truthteller

    Moose,
I love Lebron too but he needs to be gracious in defeat not just when he wins!

  • ABIMATOR

I like the color way that KB wore on game2, they looked dope on him, but i’m not into low cuts…
B-real u r right (about the nike thing) and i’m 1 of those fool, since junior hight, i never wore nothing but nike. I just like the swoosh man,
    yep, i’m just a foolish label hore…

Overpriced on eBay no doubt w/ none of it going to charity. adidas > Nike these finals, going toe to toe as Chris has posted up both offerings.

  • Jazz Man

If I Was Just Walking The Streets Then I Wouldn’t Get Them….But To Play In They Are So Comfortable!!! These Would Be Part Of My Collection Kicks Though. The Lebron Thing Is Being Blown Way Out Of Proportion!!!! A Lot Of The Teams In The 80′s & 90′s Walked Off The Court Without Acknowledging The Team That Won!!! Remember Even The G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan Walked Away After Defeat In The 80′s & When He Came Back And Lost To The Magic Before The Second Repeat. It Is What It Is…If It Were A Scrub Who Did That Like Delonte It Wouldn’t Or Better Yet He Did The Same And It’s Not A Big Deal…………….(Someone Can Continue From Here)

  • Harrell

Jazz man speaks the truth and B-Real need to be real

  • Penis

according to an inside source, this Finals Edition is player exclusive. So, there is no way this guy is getting into our toes.

  • LeBron23

Do you know on whicht website can I order any of NBA shoes because I am from Europe!@#$%^&*

  • GOODDGUYTY

Those kobe’s are flava…lebron’s sneaks always look too big and doofy.the zoom 4′s are prob the best ballin sneakers I’ve seen in a while.

  • supremearthur

those are nice too bad we cant cop =(

  • http://www.shoenut.blogspot.com ShoeNut

Goodguyty – I agree. Lebron’s shoes always look like they weigh a hundred pounds. Never liked any of his signature sneaks. I’m really diggin these Mambas. I never balled in low tops before, but I wore the new Kobe’s and they are amazingly light and it feels like it molds to your feet. Forget the hype, I recommend it.

  • Bryant24

those shoes are so awsome I want them shoes right nowwwwwwww!!!!

  • Bryant24

    Kobes my dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bryant24
