Who wore what last season?
by Adam Fleischer
It’s hard to even say this, because there are so many parts that are on point, but one of my favorite sections of KICKS is “Kicksology.” It’s been in there for a few years as part of “First Step,” and this year is no different. You know what I’m talking about—five pages of pictures sprawling across the bottom of our opening section, showcasing some of the freshest and most one of a kind footwear that made its way onto the hardwood during the 2008-09 season. (If, for some reason, you don’t know what I’m talking about, then do yourself a favor and go pick up KICKS 12, out on newsstands and in stores now.) We promised in the issue to let you know who was rocking what if you checked in here on the site, and we’re making good on that. Some of these were obvious (“NYC7″ on the side of a pair of blue, orange, and black sneaks? I see you, Al Harrington. And who else would you figure to see donning Shaq’s Dunkmans or Steph’s Starburys than the men themselves?) but others weren’t so clear upon first glance. So here are the names, along with the brand of the shoe, for each of the 25 included. You can follow along at home by opening to pages 16-22. Enjoy.
