John Wall to Debut ‘Gold Rush’ Kicks at MSG

Rookie phenom John Wall will make his Madison Square Garden debut tonight, as his Washington Wizards take on the Knicks. To complete the occasion, Wall will be sporting his new sneaker, the “Gold Rush” Reebok Zig Slash. The Foot Locker store by The Garden (120 W 34th St.) will be selling 12 pairs of the super limited shoe tomorrow. For more information, check out this FootLocker.com blog post.

    This is a gamble, when after one dunk he could be ejected for over-celebration with 2 quick techs. Joking aside, I don’t understand the blue (well, I know it is the Wizards) but I mean on this shoe. Black for the Zigs would at least make it palatable. Still waiting for the league to ‘ban’ these like they did the APL kicks.

    Hideous shoes! These shoes right here r what is wrong w/the shoe industry 2day. What happened 2 the “vector” brand? I used 2 luv reebok. That was my preferred brand 2 rock back n high school. The iversons,kemps,shaqs,kenny andersons 2 name a few. They just don’t make them like they used 2. That includes nike and adidas as well

    he should have debuted these in the bronze colors, cause the way they played tonight at MSG they did not even deserve “silver”, which they surely got handed to em courtesy Wilson Chandler and the Knicks.
