Carmelo’s Knicks-Colored M7

Forget the other colorways!

by Chris O’Leary/@olearychris

As he went off for 42 points and 17 rebounds last night against the Boston Celtics, Carmelo Anthony did it in a new styling of his signature shoe.

The Melo M7 Advance is the first Jordan Brand sneaker to use Flywire, which JB says lightens the shoe up for the Knicks’ Playoff run. It was also the first Knicks-themed shoe Jordan has given Melo since he went to New York in Febraury. Either way, Melo looked light on his feet in Boston. If he gets a little help from guys with bad backs and/or in suits, maybe the Knicks can please their fans on Friday night at the Garden.

The shoe will hit retail in June.

Why won’t Nike release Paul Pierce’s sig. shoes in men’s sizes? I have never understood this…also, a flywire Jordan release was sooooo predictable. Next it’ll be Hyperfuse mesh.
