Ty Lawson’s Nike Zoom Flight Five iD

by Chris O’Leary / @olearychris

As Ty Lawson repeatedly carved a path to the rim last night, somehow out-duelling and looking just as fast as Russell Westbrook, the same question kept presenting itself.

What the hell is he wearing?

Lawson went off last night for a post-season career best 27 points that allowed the Denver Nuggets to live for a few more days, at least. He did it in a loud pair of sneakers that didn’t come close to matching his white home uniform.

Lawson rocked a pair of Nike Air Zoom Flight Five iD’s last night. It’s a shoe he’s worn in past games this season and the same one he wore, evidently, in a Taco Bell ad he shot six months ago (see pic below).

Based on the success he’s had in this rendition of what was once Jason Kidd’s signature joint back in the day, Lawson may have to stick with this gaudy sneak and see his hot streak through.

Shoes are pretty nice, but Lawsons game is even better. Dude is looking like a top tier point guard in this series, except for the losing part.

best shoe for guards ever. seriously

Yea I LOVED these shoes. Light, wide base prevented ankle injuries, tons and TONS of traction.
