Weekend’s Best

Five kicks that jumped out through the weekend’s games.

by Chris O’Leary | @olearychris

Kobe, Rajon Rondo and Gilbert Arenas weren’t winners on Sunday, but they took top prize in the footwear wars over the weekend. Rondo broke out the 2011 Nike Hyperfuse in a Celtics green on Friday against the Wizards and then went with a nice white/green colorway for Sunday’s loss at Miami. Gilbert Arenas was quick to debut the Air Jordan XII taxi low retro and no one’s shoes were more appropriate this weekend that Kobe Bryant’s. The Black Mamba wore the ‘Chaos’ colorway as his Lakers saw their losing skid stretch to five games with losses to Portland and OKC.

Dwyane Wade also brought some freshness to the court with a new player exclusive makeup of the Jordan 2011.

Check out my five favorite sneaks from this weekend in the gallery below.

Wow, no BG in the new Hyperdunk ’11?
No Matrix in the Shox Hyperballer, a shoe that won’t be available for 3 months or so?
Oh well, at least we have counterkicks for relevant nba kicks news.

Loving the white based Hyperfuse for next year. The color accents works best on that shoe.

I prefer the first Hyperfuse, honestly. 2011′s are okay.
