Kicks: Ron Artest BALL’N PEs

by Chris O’Leary/@olearychris

For the L.A. Lakers‘ first game of the Playoffs, BALL’N gave Ron Artest something special. Ron-Ron reciprocated, doing something special back for his sneaker company.

BALL’N posted this pic on Twitter today, displaying the pair of player exclusive yellow and purple Lay Ups that Ron wore in Game 1 of the Lakers’ series against New Orleans.

The shoe has the opponent and Game 1 inscribed on it, along with Ron’s signature.

The shoe isn’t available for sale, but as CounterKicks pointed out in their post today, you can buy BALL’N sneaks at the company’s Facebook page.

If I were a Lakers fan, I’d rather have a signed shoe from a Playoff game that the Lakers won. That might just be me, though.

    Not Bad…….for a shoe that isn’t mainstream.

Design wise, nah these don’t emulate the NYC Ron Artest that reps QB. But in practicality I suppose they mesh with the Lakers Uni’s. Can’t see how Nike wouldn’t want to bring him on board now considering the off the court work he’s committed himself to doing in Mental Health Awareness. With sports being the most marketable conduit thru which so many people who have internal aggression can find a way to turn that energy into productive release through physical contact sports. Get on the phone BEAVERTON…LoL
