Gallery: Allen Iverson Kicksology

The Question, The Answer and…The Answer.

In light of today being Allen Iverson’s birthday, and in honor of the release of SLAM 150, we thought we’d take you back through the undersized dude’s sneaker career. There are also some sketch pics that went with the later model Answers. Check them out and tell us what your favorite Iverson sneaker was, from both a physical deal and from a performance perspective.

    The first Answers in the black/gold were the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn on the court. I wish I had bought more than one pair since I can’t find them anymore. Still have Questions to this day.

    I’ll second that. I even liked the black color way of the third, the signature looked dope, but after they get decidedly average. Those DMX commercials were sick back in the day though.

    Looking back now, I think most of his shoes were quite phenomenal. Not all, but most. The X are sick. The answer 2 which had the dmx and 3D sole. Sweet.
    Questions up until 4 were great. 6, 9, 11 were average, but the 7&8 were good looking IMO. Thx Slam for posting those up. Memory lane.

    I’ll add, even some Jordans weren’t as receptive until much later after everyone digested it all.
    IX, X of Jordan line was average from the release time. XIV, XV were awful, too. I guess XV is worst of entire line. It’s uniqueness nobody bought into. XiX, XXI, XXII weren’t popular either. So, looking at Reebok and what Iverson did was phenomenal. People don’t get XII signature shoes if they weren’t pretty good.

    My favorite shoes of all time were the Answers. I had got a pair in each of the three original colors because they were so comfortable and were sweet looking.

    The Question easily falls into the Top 5 Best Hoop Shoes. Which slot, I don’t know, but it’s definitely in there. Sadly, it was all downhill for Chuck’s sigs after that though.

    The Answer IV and V were both insanely cool, and almost as iconic as the Questions for me. And the 12′s look really nice.

    The Question and the Answer 1 were the best. Hands down. The rest were booty cheeks. With cellulite.

    They left out the one shoe he was wearing when he went to the Finals. The 5′s were garbage. The Questions and the IVs were hands down the best.

    best iversons ever made in my opinion and probably the most comfortable reeboks ever besides the reebok classics

    The most stylish n my opinion were the 1st Answers, especially n red. I still got them, but n black. And the commercial for those shoes where they have A.I. w/the crossover was dope. The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and still also own 2 this day, r The Answer 5′s.
