Kicks: Nike Air Shox Hyperballer, Black/Red

These are dropping this fall.

by Chris O’Leary / @olearychris

The timing of this shoe’s debut on Marqueesole couldn’t be any better. The colorway screams Miami Heat. The shoe—Nike’s Air Shox Hyperballer—is what Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion has worn down the stretch of his NBA Championship season.

The shoe is a meld of Nike’s Hyperfuse and Shox technology, with the Shox in an air-based setup. They’re set for a Fall 2011 release, but as always, if you’re willing to drop some/a lot of extra cash on the shoes to get them now, you can visit Marqueesole.

When they hit retail, the shoes will cost $160 US.

    My current holy grail kicks-quest.
No release date, no definitive pricing, no clue how many colours will be made.
All i know is that ‘Trix and Jermaine O’Neal wore these for a few games late in the season and early in the playoffs, then switched back to their midseason kicks (uh oh)
REALLY wanna get these, HD’s give me too many aftergame problems, and my last 2 Shox are disintegrating in the humidity of SE-Asia.
    More info, Swoosh.

@Dark, exactement ce q je me suis dit en voyant cette photo, that’s my next kick! Whenener it’ll hit Niketown or Footlocker London.
To play ball: I have the 1st Hyperdunk (from the 2008 Olympics) that I use only indoors and 4 great occasions, they are one of the most comfortable Nikes I’ve ever played in,
The Jordan XII (one of my favorites, along with the VI)
and an Air Force More 180 (very durable) that I use everyday and for playground…
Shox don’t look very durable 2 me, but I’ll buy these ones just 2 look fly on the hardwood.
I’m a stupid Nike head, that muddaf*kg world company finishes all my small money, but I can’t help myself, it’s an addiction. Lol (or not)…

they should really make shox 2.0′s because i’ve seen technology that can really help shox take the pressure off of your legs.

Bonjour Prince fraîche de Nsam, i have a similar recent kicksology history.
Wore only Shox from 2000 on (BOING!!) Although i only wore one signature VC model (BB4′s) in all that time. Sole was made for me, and the earlier models had great styling too.
Then they got lazy with them and Nike started the Hyperdunk campaign, plus basically every single Nba player was balling in ‘em (yes, i copy what they wear, shocker) and i switched to HD’s.
Faaantastic hoops shoe (bought 3 pairs) but sadly my worst injury occured in them.
Unretired two of my never-worn Shox this year after healing but the time in boxes in S’pore did not treat them well. Glue dissolving, patent leather discolouration, the works.
And that at the start of a new season….arrgh.

Lovin’ the darksaber/fresh prince thread… hearing hoops stories about nikes across the pond is like dice in the air

Ouch, must hurt 4 ur Shox, I remember loosing a never worn Timberland like that due to Yaounde humidity, man it hurts, especially when u can’t find the shoes in the market anymore…
Those should be my 1st Shox, even though I remember u mentioning something about Trix an J.O stop wearing ‘m during the season… I hope it’s just star players not willing 2 experiment new shoes during high pressure and stakes games…
