There are a lot of ways that Gilbert Arenas isn’t like the average person. The skills (even now, after the surgeries, he’s still better than 95 percent of the world at this game), the money he makes, the legal troubles he’s gotten into in recent years and the day-to-day life he lives are things that the majority of us will never be able to fathom.

At times, though, the other side of the coin shines and Gil seems like one of us. He’s foolish; he goes on blind dates and live tweets the disastrous affair; he comes up with funny avatars on Twitter that center around cheating on your girlfriend. Most important (to me, anyway), Gil is a huge sneakerhead. If you follow him on Twitter, you know that he’s been giving away pieces of the varied sneaker collection that he flaunted to the basketball world this year in his games with the Washington Wizards and the Orlando Magic (we told you about this a couple of weeks ago here, if you didn’t see it the first time around).

Since the giveaway began, Gil has been posting pics of the shoes he’s put up for grabs and has shown us a few glimpses of his collection of sneaks from his home. I went through his Lockerz account and put together a highlight reel of what he’s posted.
