Kicks: Monta Ellis’ ME8 Empire by And1

Whether there’s an NBA season coming this fall or not, Monta Ellis will have something of his own to wear, wherever he’s playing ball.

And1 has released pics of Monta’s new signature sneaker, the And1 ME8 Empire Mid. The shoe features a combination mesh/synthetic upper, a TPU support cage, polyurethane midsole, a full-length visible air unit and a performance ready modified herringbone traction pattern outsole.

If the lockout keeps you from catching Monta in the shoes, you can wear them yourself this fall when they hit stores.

    Not bad, haven’t seen any good and1′s in awhile. I’d probably sport an all black or all white pair of these.

    Interesting how you said “visible air unit”; I thought the “air” technology is patented under Nike?

    @heart grit yes he has since his career begun @ nbp11 nike air is different and1s air units are pinned making it good for a player that wants cushioning and responsiveness
