Kicks: Melo’s M8 NYC Flight Launch Event

The Knicks forward introduces his new signature shoe in style.

Carmelo Anthony made the final, climactic push to launch his latest Jordan Brand signature shoe—the Melo M8—with a NYC-worthy show over Pier 54 at Hudson River Park on Thursday night. The Jordan folks rolled out an 85-foot 3D projector to give guests a one-of-a-kind light show on the water. The event was hosted by Hot 97 radio personalities Angie Martinez and DJ Enuff, and those in attendance were also treated to special appearances by Nas, Chris Paul and Maya Moore. Peep the photos above and video below, with thanks to Jordan Brand.

Cool Vid but…love Melo, from Syracuse till now, but… wow these sneakers dont in any way look Swaggarific, they look like a typical Jordan trainer sneaker that no one buys but instead lets put M8 on it and see what happens. The front half looks a lil like the Lebron 8 but then the back half looks a mess, all in all the shoe will do good, not as good as the Lebron 9 but ok.
