Last year’s first launch of the Nike LeBron 8 caused a frenzy with the debut of the bright turquoise and pink colorway now known as the “South Beach” combo. This season, the LeBron 9 “China” edition skipped ahead in line for launch and now the first US-based story for LeBron’s signature shoe comes in this Cannon/Volt-Slate Blue-Team Orange makeup which has been given the nickname “Pre-Heat”.
Miami-area sneakerheads are getting the first retail shot at the LeBron 9 “Pre-Heat” this weekend, with shops like Mr. R Sports releasing the shoes on Sunday, October 9. Afterwards, a wider (but still limited number) public launch is expected in the weeks ahead. We’re told a “South Beach” style is on the way, but you’ll have to wait a bit for that model roll out.
As with the other Nike LeBron 9 styles launching this year, the Pre-Heat will set you back $170 for the opportunity.
