Kicks: Nike Zoom Kobe VII Official Images and Info

KB’s newest sig comes in two versions: Attack Fast and Attack Strong.

The haters say Kobe Bryant’s lost a step, but his shoe game is still as deadly as ever. The Nike Kobe VII System Supreme drops December 22, and features customizable, interchangeable ankle and midsole support inserts. The Kobe VII’s two options give players the chance to maximize their game: whether it’s “Attack Fast” or “Attack Strong.” The difference? The Fast insert (above in Laker gold) has a Phylon midsole with Nike Zoom units in the forefoot and heel, providing lightweight responsiveness and a sock-like fit (no traditional tongue). The Strong offers a full-length Cushlon midsole and power-stretch material that provides comfort and breathability.

The VIIs also feature a raised skin pattern meant to embody Kobe’s predator-like instincts, and special graphic patterns will live “under the skin” in special colorways, which we’ve been told will be in the form of the Leopard, Great White Shark, Poison Dart Frog and Grey Wolf. And, in an interesting twist from Nike, you can pick up Kobe’s new shoe at two different price points: $180 for the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Supreme System, which comes with both Fast and Strong inserts, and $140 for the Nike Zoom Kobe VII System, without the Attack Strong insert.

Does anyone know if they are going to release “big kids” sizes? I can’t find any information on the web about it.

  • Ldub20 Posted: Dec.7 at 3:20 pm
@Vancitybball….lol ditto. if we go half on these bad boys, we can walk into “Happy-n-dees’r us” and get rubbed on together! Sheeiitt $180? Kobe/Nike think they are Jordan?

They look pretty good. But I don’t understand the no tongue technology yet. Even if the insole and the brace act like one, the shoe still is a separate object. I’d like to know how this new technology works.

nba players think ther gods….this is why i respect starbury…kobe you’ve made enuff already ball is about the kids

  • Saviour Posted: Dec.7 at 4:23 pm
Manu; do you think Kobe choose how much Nike price his shoes? He’s signed to them – everyone loves money, they pay him well – so they make his sig shoe, he gives feedback to changes and then the rest is with Nike. Stop crying and work harder if you think these are too expensive.

  • nbaNw8 Posted: Dec.7 at 5:46 pm

  • Jono Posted: Dec.7 at 6:44 pm
easy choice here, jordan xi concords, here i come

  • Eddie1 Posted: Dec.7 at 7:36 pm
    Wonder which Kobe will wear?

  • omphalos Posted: Dec.7 at 9:02 pm
didn’t realise the lower ones had an insole as well. Pass, probably going to be the first time I don’t cop Kobes for a while. Same reason I didn’t buy the Jordans last year; customisable insoles are silly.

    Looks pretty gimmicky to me.

hahahaha, Nike continues to push the envelope with these Kobe’s, look great. I’ll still personally say the IV’s are my favorite Kobe’s (other than Huarache 2k5′s of course…*drools*) to look at. These joints are the best ones since

  • The Black Rick Kamla Posted: Dec.7 at 10:41 pm
    ^^^2k4′s….big BIG difference

  • The Black Rick Kamla Posted: Dec.7 at 10:50 pm
red/blue All Star 2k4……..my GOOODNess! I’mma speak for myself, I don’t think there has been a more beautiful basketball sneaker released since. Completely changed the game….sad thing is there simply aren’t any left….told myself in middle school, when I was able enough I’d buy myself a pair….well I’m still not able enough, but now it seems they won’t even be available…GRAILS, straight up and down.

  • The Black Rick Kamla Posted: Dec.7 at 11:06 pm
@omphalos well I don’t see anything silly about providing players the opportunity to make the sneaker they paid 200 bones for more suitable for their feet or playing style. A lot of cats like the lightweight feel but want more support, either around the ankles or midsoles, particularly bigger guys- boom perfect solution….not sure whats the big deal breaker about it, you don’t even have to purchase it lol
