Kicks: ‘The Blake Show’ Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme

A special Nike PE for Blake Griffin.

Welcome to The Blake Show. The reigning ROY’s sensational first season put the Clippers back on the map, and served as one heck of an introduction to the League. In Griffin, the Clips have one of the NBA’s brightest young stars. Nike agrees, honoring him with a special PE of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme.

The bottoms look ugly, which is a shame because people are going them pretty often…

Agreed, OG hyperdunks were incredible, but bottomed out too quickly (Lunarfoam).
The HD’11 is a close second though, great fit and cushioning. Not a fan of the netting look on the supremes but this colourway is nice.

I’ve had some problems with the 2011 HDs, there was severe discomfort due to lace pressure on several spots to the point where I reverted back to my Fly Wades. Was unimpressed with my first HD experience.

haha that stuff around the toebox reminds me of them old Kobe’s, the Zoom III’s I think… or the Waffle Cones I called them….I LOVED THEM…joints was hot, plus he was absolutely killing that year and in my honest opinion that 07 squad (yep, that lost to the Celtics) was the best Laker squad since 2002… but anyways seems like nobody else messed with them joints though lol…I think back and I say those were probably the last truly inventive/creative basketball kick Nike has come up with. These Hyperdunks, though decent ball shoes are still just sons….sons of the Huarache 2k4…the father of the modern basketball shoe…whether its the Hyperdunks, Hyperizes, Hyperfly, Hyperfuse, Hyper____; whatever generic team ball sneaker Nike has released and appended the ‘Hyper’ prefix to, they all are simply derivatives of the great 2k4…..rant over

Quick HD ’11 update: just played a full game, 40 mins, in mine (havent done that in a while) and i had sprained my ankle playing tennis 4 days ago.
The shoe fit so well, and supported me brilliantly. Never felt a twinge of the slight injury in these, which kept me confident all game long.

Mix of cushioning, stability and weight is excellent.
Now where’s that bucket of ice?
