Kicks: LeBron, DWade Honor Trayvon Martin On Sneakers

Heat stars etch “RIP Trayvon Martin” on signature shoes.

Friday night in Detroit, hours after LeBron James tweeted a pictured of he and his Heat teammates donning hoodies to honor Trayvon Martin, James and fellow superstar Dwyane Wade again honored Martin, this time on their game sneakers. Wade debuted his Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO with the words “We Want Justice” inscribed on them, and both players’ shoes read “RIP Trayvon Martin.” Miami beat the Pistons 88-73.

    Keep it up guys. Ignore the haters who think it’s ok to kill black children who defend themselves from being followed by strange men with guns. God forbid a black man with a gun follows and kills someone. He’d be lucky to get a fair trial.

    Bless the Heat for the support they give to Trayvon’s family. Now that more lies are coming for the killer’s side, e.g.,Trayvon jumped the gun, etc. louder calls for justice should be my made all over the country to quash bigotry and homicide of innocent victim(s) like Trayvon.
