Above The Rim Visits Puerto Rico

From our friends at Above The Rim:

For the first time in a few years, Above the Rim crossed the borders, traveling south with our Skillz Clinic team to Isla Verda, Puerto Rico. ATR ambassador Chuck Torres, local coaches and ATR coaches worked out a talented group of 60 youngsters from the San Juan area at the Casa Cuba gym, just 50 yards from the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The two-hour long Skillz Clinch featured great music, advanced skill drills and, of course, ATR swag. “The kids down here were great,” Torres said. “They came in ready to work, learn and have fun.” The unique indoor/outdoor gym, warm weather and ocean side view made for an excellent basketball environment. ATR continues its Skillz Clinic road trip with a stop in Houston next month.

Its always great to see kids do something productive with their time. Especially today with video games, computers and social networking consuming alot of time. Growing up I used basketball as a outlet. ATR is providing opportunity for kids all over with a great opportunity to grow as players and individuals. #TakeAdvantage

Looks like they did a great job. I wish their shoes were better so I could rock with them head to toe.
