Photos: NFL Unveils Nike Elite Uniforms

FlyWire technology and Deflex padding hit the gridirion in style.

Here at SLAMonline, we’re all about basketball—but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy the other sports, too. And today, Nike made waves by introducing the all-new Elite 51 NFL uniforms to be worn starting this fall, as the company takes over as the official apparel provider for pro football. Not only do the brand-new jerseys feature some aesthetic changes (the Seahawks’ being the most dramatic), but they are lighter, stronger and feature advances like Nike FlyWire technology. We’ll have more from the Nike/NFL Launch in Brooklyn yesterday, where representatives from every one of the 32 NFL teams were in attendance to talk about their new duds. Until then, you can get more information about the launch and check out the gear for every team via Nike.

@Bryant Bynum Gasol… Just because I offered people a place to look at a more in depth write up about this subject if they choose to you decide to resort to childish name calling, that’s pathetic. No one stated YOU MUST go there, if you choose not to go then that is your prerogative. I enjoy basketball much more than football, but I also am interested in jerseys and that site is great for that topic in every sport, not football alone. So if you are not interested in that aspect of it do not look, but putting someone else down for it is just moronic. Teams and companies invest millions of dollars into product research and development, and I (along with millions of others…and this website or else they would not have published this article) find it interesting. If there wasn’t am interest then why would they have such spectacles? So in essence, before you decide to make a idiotic comment, come up with a basis and reasoning or else you end up looking ignorant, even if your is just baseless name calling.
