Kicks: Kobe Bryant ’12 Playoff Recap

A game-by-game look at The Black Mamba’s sneaker choices.

With a 106-90 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2011-12 season came to a close. In his final game of the year, Kobe Bryant poured in 42 points, putting a cap on what was a sometimes-turbulent season for the 33-year-old superstar. Where do the Lakers go from here? Hard to say. But before we look to the future, let’s recap what was—in sneaker form.

Above is a game-by-game view of Kobe’s sneaker choices for the Playoffs. He wore a variety of colorways—including a couple editions we’d never seen before (green laces?), the Elite series and his Christmas VIIs, bringing the season full circle. And the Nike Zoom Kobe VII was one of the Swoosh’s most popular releases of the year. So, which colorway did The Black Mamba rock best? Which would you wear?
